for 2008..

it will be the slow down of the US economy. At first it will not have a huge impact on the rest of the world.. but when the US catches a cold.. the rest of the world will sholder the pain.

For Thailand. the main topic is trying to get the economy back on track and resolve the political termoil that has plagued it for 2006 and 2007...

Global Warming is an issue that has been aroung for ages, and more people will become aware, but not mauch will realisticaly change. With a strong global economy, we look for ways to improve society.

When the economy is weak... we worry about how to keep a roof over our heads and feed the family.

Happy New Year!!!

It will be either some unpredictable natural cataclysmic event which will affect millions of people or it will be some type of huge terrorist event which will ultimately be a positive step to rid the world of all the mentally diseased people who believe in ghosts, spirits or what have you that authorize them to kill.

Its the Year of the Rat right?

Cue, Enter Thaksin. Thai events will revolve around him, it is his year after all.

Globally, China and India to drive the price of oil higher, which suits me. This is adding to the strain on the global economy, initiated by perverted (to the point of criminal) lending practices in the US, which is now bringing the economy there to its knees. And this is, as someone else pointed out, bad for everyone. But I don't the sky is gonna fall down or the Sun forget to come up, as my glass is half full. Oops, another pint please.......
