Dr_Mike
Although we live in a rather nice suburb in a private house? We wake up daily to the sound of BOOM boxes, Thai boom Boom, so called ?music? which occurs at all hours of the day and night. I know that there are no truly enforced Thai laws, it's all about money. Is there anything we can do, or must we look for a new home? I?ve been thinking about a house at the beach anyway. Also, if anyone knows anything about properties in Bang Sean please let me know. Dr_Mike
if you can find a beach that is quiet and away from soi dogs, go for it. Yes, I heard that dogs are a big meanace in the areas away from the larger populations, if you know of any that are "sort" of safe, I would be very thankful. Cheers I like the Bang Sean area, it seems to be clean, quiet and has an International school. I am so tired of not gettiing enough sleep.

Stu_thailand
This is the exact reason why I would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS buy a property in Thailand, because NO ONE has the slightest iota of respect for anyone elses space / peace. Rent...not happy? Move on.

It's so loud the house shakes. So I definately want to move, it just started again. I know if I tell the security it will end up back at the noise makers, and they'll probably break into my house when I am at work. You know, "Thai style". beej
Maybe move to the center of the city? I live on one of the busiest streets in Bangkok and sleep fine despite being a light sleeper.
funky_house
Will those big things keep the glasses from falling off the cabinet? LOL. Sorry. Too lazy to resize the pic. But leave enough of them on the floor, and the glasses will just bounce. Seriously though, they are bloody good for helping you sleep in a noisy environment. Not sure about how they would handle deep bass though.

I'd also like to drop a firefighter airplane tank of that orange chemical on them too.(Borate? Ammonium sulfate or ammonium polyphosphate with attapulgite clay thickener or diammonium phosphate with a guar gum derivative thickener). There, that's better. Dutch gabba is a particularly loud, untuneless and irritating form of very hard techno, performed in clubs with lovely names such as 'Nosebleed'or 'Corpse' Average speeds range from around 160 bpm up to 220/30 bpm, at which point the tunes (and I hesitate to call them tunes) resemble someone digging up the road while you have a particularly bad migraine. However, on the positive side, I do have a recipe for home made Napalm from an old 'anarchist's cookbook' and can mail if you would like... Hoping the boomboxes have ceased and that the family are enjoying a peaceful Sunday...
