SweetieBabie
FADs and Trends in Thailand It is not just what you wear, or just make up you put on, but what you eats, where people like goes, trendy hairstyle of the season, different lifestyle trends and what's happening at the moment... Why focus on Bangkok?... is because where most trends and fads starts in Thailand, Well actually Thais do not usually create trends but more likely adopted from everywhere else in the world and triggers down to other parts of the country, but occassionally trends start from the rural areas as well......remember the Iphone phenomena that thai hiso has before everyone else and now everyone has to have one? or the long ass que line for the famous "coffee buns" few years ago people have to wait for hours for? so lets discuss of what's happening here, Discuss and share with us (may be a snap shots from your phones) what you see on daily basis you consider fads or local trends... 8) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's start with these Bangkok's boring items, the " IT " bags phenomenon at the moment, I could not help but noticed, I bet your bottom dollar that you have at least one or two friends/ colleague or people you know here that using these Items right now in your school / office. What is so special about them? beside EXPENSIVE and to show off that "Hey look, I got on too"... :? One is about 25K - 30K THB and the rip you 4-5K for a plain nylon bag, just because the respectable brand names can throw anything out there in the market with a name stamped on it, people would just be all over them, even if they are grade AAA+++ replicas they are using, it's amazed me how people just want to follow.... Long Champ Le Pliage LV Louis Vuitton NeverFull They are everywhere !!!

Ahh Blyth, from my knowledge Blyth has long history since 1972 (before I was born) design by Allison Katzman I think that's why... but I won't buy something like that grrrrrrrrrr About bags, watches and wallets, I never bought them by myself... I got them as presents. So I use as I got and PPL who gave me, never let me down.

Chatty
Talking about bag... no bag intrend as fabric bag... Many people use as a sign to stop global warming... Sorry I'm not intend to show the advert but this bag just only one I have in my bedroom now. My company gave away to staff for the "Go Green" campaign. I don't know this one is in or out, it's present for the graduation. I think I will carry it to V.day. Anyway, I still like my Estee Lauder, after my mom's friend got it free from the Estee she didn't like the style, but I can make it look better (for myself) I hang a lady bug bag (my birthday present from Kui (Sarika)) Many people said it was cool. SweetieBabie
okay better late than never,..... Lets rewind to few years back, if you still remember.... The Rotiboy Coffee Bun year 2006 had another lull in food crazes, until the Sunday Times did a report on these new-fangled coffee buns, that were rolling out of ovens by the minute. The Bubble Tea n the early-2000s, that is, Thai people found themselves a new food ? or in this case, drink ? to go crazy about. Originating from Taiwan, perhaps the most fascinating aspect of this drink ? essentially chilled milk tea, occasionally flavoured with mints or fruits or sometimes in ?ice-blended? form ? was the ?pearls?, or ?bubbles?, that came with the drink ? small little chewy, but often flavourless, tapioca balls. Stramash
Am just surprised no Thai entrepeneurs have laucnhed a homegrown version of this Australian fashion item (and yes, I realise using the terms 'Australian' and 'fashion' in the same sentence is contradictory) A range of colourful water buffalo scrotum purses perhaps???
