I made it part 2:

I've posted a story of the best news in my life about a week ago. I've just got a job as ground services officer for Thai Airways as it's what I've been fighitng for all along and finally I made it. They need new staffs so quickly though so everything is in a rush. I don't have even 2 weeks to tell my boss that I'm gonna quit. The worse point is my real boss (the director) is on business leave, so they day he comes back he will find out that his secretary is already gone. I feel like I'm ungrateful.  My manager doesn't let me go. But I have no choice coz to be working in aviator field, they chose us; we didn't chose them. If they can't get me, there are thousands left behind to replace me. Now, they're having a problem to find a new one to work in my place.Anyway, I just went to Thai Airways to sign contract on April 18 and then I went for check-up on April 19. They let me know that I have to show up again on April 21 which is my friend's birthday party which we have planned for this since early this year!!! *scream* I was so shock when I found out. I feel so sad and so bad now coz I really wanna go. I've tried to figure everything out to find the way but we've already booked the room so it's all set. The show must go on (without me). I have to do what I have to do anyway coz it's my life and my dream that comes true. I'm sorry to miss the party and hope you guys will have fun for me. You feel but I feel even more. From all those people I just only need your understandings but seems like I didn't get one...

Flying benefits are worth all of this! Soon, you will be able to see the world.......I worked for United Airlines, which allows me to travel whenever! I'm in BKK now, was thinking about signing up for the dog/cat event on the 28th, however I maybe in the country somewhere? Whereas a birthday party, whilst important, can be celebrated on another day.

I am sure deep down, your friend will understand and appreciate that you are hurting in having to miss out on her birthday event.

And the fact that you post a journal about it shows how deeply you care for your friend as well and how much you want your friend to understand the hurt you are going through.

Hey, all is not lost - both you and your friend should organise an event to celebrate her birthday again and your success in getting this job.....now wouldn't that be a good party?!?
