Dear Triple,

there is only one good brand in Thailand: good sales, good after sales good warrantee and good price:

ASUS. it is the only Thai company (company and staff) that exceeded my expectations

I don't have one (yet) but there is only one really...Apple Mackintosh.

Gee, you don't need after-sales-support and/or tech support if you by a Mac, they work out of the box just as advertised...simple to use for every technically challenged person. ;-))

ASUS (isn't i call AsS'-US) is good but im using HP

dunno, i thing anything that suite wt ur need.

having fancy stuff and wont use it much it s a waste.

i think u can choose wisely

PS. i was busy working today, so didn't find the beef noodle yet. but i will. i will. i will.i will

yes I have an acer too, and it's very good - but would take Gee's point about local support in Bkk.

When you have a shortlist, make sure you find out what technical support there is for each of the makes you look at.

Also, make a list of what each has - memory size, processor speed etc so you can see pluses and negatives.

Try and haggle some extras out the shops - in the past I have had laptop bags and even a printer thrown into the deal!!

: )

I'll say asus, or anything that gives you either 2 years warranty or one of those accident insurances... that way once your laptop is getting older it could 'accidentally' burn up or fall into a pool and you'll get it fixed or a new one of similar value (or something.. read the fine print)

But dont get a mac.. its a little overkill for a regular user.
