Pornographic candy wrappers?

What do you TF'ers say? Mail Online Article - Father's fury over children's 'pornographic' sweet wrappers A father-of-two has spoken of his disgust after spotting fruity cartoon characters appearing to have sex on SWEET wrappers.
Simon Simpkins was buying Haribo MAOAM sour candies for his children when he noticed the 'pornographic' illustrations of limes, lemons and cherries romping with each other.
Mr Simpkins, of Pontefract, West Yorkshire, said: 'The lemon and lime are locked in what appears to be a carnal encounter.Further digging on the Haribo website found the sound of a moaning man on Planet Haribo, the company's interactive play space for kids. I have seen it in german TV last day ! HARIBO ( Hans Riegel Bonn , HaRiBo ) have much problems now ...Can be they must change the pictures on the Maoam. Its a crazy world

I wonder what a 6 years old girl see the picture. Will she see it the same meaning as adults see?. Can it be that she sees it as cartoon? I also wonder, who are the company's target group? Are those candies for young kids or teenagers or adults?

Haribo is a company in DK and I haven't see those candies but I don't buy candies.Candies are bad for childern, why the father wanted to give it to his kids since the first place.

From what I know, Denmark is quite open-minded for these kind. You can see necked bodies picture appears on billboard at the main-station in CPH. Since Haribo is Danish company, maybe that's a reason they can put those cartoon pictures on.

For me, if I have kids, I won't buy candies for them, not because of those cartoon characters but just because candies are unhealthy and unnessary. What do you expect, you buy junk food for your kids so they get junk and then you complain.

The quote above is utter rubbish...I went there and listened - it is the sound of a man saying "Mmm" or "Hmm" depending where you are. It is very obviously supposed to be someone perhaps making that noise when they eat a candy...a moan (of the sexual kind) is totally different and would be VERY OBVIOUS...

The site is for kids and I saw nothing at all wrong with it...nor heard anything wrong either...what a load of crap!

its the adults that make this into a sex scene. the kids just see fruit and candy...geez some people need a life

my kids can have a normal life, can have candis sometimes, can have junk food sometimes, can be bad sometimes, just like normal kids, just like we did !!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't notice any sexual implication at all, if I hadn't read this article. I think the father just associated his dirty mind and experience to the cartoon characters.

I think there was a photo that you can see either a naked woman or dolphin (or something else and a dolphin), depending how you look at it. Kids would see the dolphin and not the other one.

I think most people are just being overprotective of kids and emphasizing on the wrong, instead of mentioning the right and showing the right. When kids hear or see so much attention being put on the wrong, they tend to me more curious and wanna do the wrongs, because they never hear/see otherwise.

have to agree with Fontok, though there are now many natural and sugar free confectioneries on the market so it is far easier to buy for the little ones. I am lucky; Cerys loves fruit so that is usually her choice over sweets (though she is a chocolate raisin addict!!!)

She does already know certain brands are bad, especially McDonalds so she wont eat there!!
