TF biking adventure...

I think my photos are probably the last to be posted... which is quite normal since I had the slowest bike and ended up following everyone all day!

We met up at Robinson's on Ratchada... got a coffee and set off to meet Mem and Tai at Fortune Tower.

It was a long trip - we had rain, sunshine, a small accident and a puncture.  But we quickly found a little garage to fix the tyre - and the girls had a little picnic in the shop...

We continued towards the dam and met another heavy thunderstorm.  This time we had to stop and wait for the rain to move on.

We held the first TF Bikers' Trip and Wet Tshirt competition...DSC_7484.jpg

Finally we arrived at the dam - tired and stiff after a long hard ride... (lol)

Some of us had a little swim in the river... which was shallow, but had quite a strong current.

We rode out to see the World's Shittest Waterfall... **** in two respects...

1)  It had no water.

2)  Even if there was water, there was nowhere for it to fall from.

We had one last photo opportunity before riding home...

It was a long way home and Pumpkin and I got separated from the others and finished the journey alone.  Traffic was bad, and I had to go back to work to deal with something.

By the time I got home, I had done 325km on 115cc bike... It wasn't so much a fun day out as practice for the Dakkar Rally.

I enjoyed the trip and it was good to get out of the city... my bike has never done so much work in one day... and it really wasn't happy at 110km/h for hours at a time.  But it got us there and back without incident.

I'd definitely go on another trip, but I'd want to check out the distances first.  Pumpkin was a great pillion passenger, and endured the long journey very well.

Cheers to Ant for arranging everything and cheers to everyone else who came...

Now I need a massage!

Haha I saw the disappointment on you Dave! It happened to me once rivers withe piled rocks and its considered as water fall :D but I've been to real one in Khao Yai "Haew Narok Waterfall" you have two options how to get there by trekking and hundreds of stairs (we did both made us tired as hell!) its a good place for a drive seen riders there too some stayed for overnight camping. Well, you might consider it as another destination in the next event if there is one coming.

P.S. Haew Narok Waterfall is for sight seeing only not allowed to swim :D :D :D
