I already posted these on my Facebook, so some people have seen them already....

I won't write too many captions... struggling on someone else's computer and I want to finish quickly.

And then close up... it was a bit tricky to get these shots... area was surrounded by soldiers.  I had to sneak through the underground garage and climb up the steps inside the perimeter.  Once there, no-one challenged me, assuming I was another sweaty pressman.

Disturbingly similar to World Trade Center.... AND it used to have the same name.DSC_7545.jpg

Lots of stuff left behind...

Some stuff was important... I hope they catch every one of these bastards.

Finally I was a bit hot and sweaty, so I snuck inside a hotel for a bit of aircon and a drink...

And guess who was already there, waiting for the next Louis Viton sale...

@Somamour... don't be quoting obscure Roman emperors on my journal! My average reader will brainpop!

@Si6... it wasn't too difficult to get onto the main road - all of the main roads were blocked, but I took some back streets and got through. The burning building was harder, as it was guarded and fenced off. However, when I returned I got stopped and searched 3 times!

@Japamerican... if only I had a cool talent... like playing the cello or something.

Did you hear that as they moved people out from the Temple where they hid last night and put them onto busses the police were finding lots of luxury goods in their possession.

The picture that says "peaceful protesters, not terrorists" seems quite ironic given all the destruction they wrought. Perhaps depressing is a more accurate description. Deceptive. Deplorable. Demonic.

Thanks for the pics.

The red shirts wanted the people of Bangkok to join their cause. I think their actions will not result in that outcome.

Just saw that on some Thai news channel......Expensive brand name watches, i-phones, diamonds etc. They asked one guy where he got the watch? his reply.....I found it in the temple!

Comedy gold.

Great pics as usual Dave cheers.

Once again, great photos ... thanks for sharing. What a shame tought... the little public support and sympathy the Reds had Reds had they lost it all after what they did to the city.
