Hi I have been on this site now since mid 2005 and for the most part it's been fun I have met some really nice people here both here in Melbourne and in Thailand mainly Phuket!!!!!

This year hasn't been good for me I lost my job due to health reasons (Bilateral Lateral Epicondylitis) a disc bulge @ L5 S1 and the early beginnings of Osteoarthritis in my left knee and right knee!!!!! To say it's been frustrating is an understatement!!!!!!

I first went to Thailand in 1992 and again in 1998, 2001 in 2005 I went to Phuket I liked it and went back a few more times up until this year, I hooked up with a girl I met in a bar but I soon realized (after a few trips) but this would lead no where and surprize surprize she was only interested in money!!!! (She met a guy from Brisbane Australia and as far as I know she is getting married to him good luck) I don't want this to be a sob story I knew what I was going to experience but I still did it anyway go figure!!!!!!

It's hard to meet a good thai girl if you just go on holiday for a couple of weeks (I cant be bothered talking online) and if you do happen to meet one, long distance relationships are just to hard for me anyway for obvious reasons (money, airfares, cultural differences, and language just to name a few)!!!!

But out of the darkness I have managed to a meet a nice lady (farang) she is the same age as me she has a couple of kids from a previous marriage it's early days in our relationship but it's looks promising and she lives 20 min drive from my house!!!!!

I like Tf but people seemed to have left this site (I am not on facebook) to go elsewhere for reasons I don't know there are only a handful of people who are active in the forums I know this is mean't to be a dating site but I liked it for it's info on Thailand and having some fun posting in the forums, there have been some characters here over the years which made for some interesting reading (Eddie from Hawaii) just to name one he wasn't playing with a full deck!!!!!

I will still log in from time to time on here just to see what' happening I do hope to return to Thailand one day when money and my health is not an issue!!!!

Have a Singha for me as I will be for the people of TF (Any excuse for a beer) lol lol lol!!!!

I think everyone knows the feelings you're expressing. Sometimes parts of our lives run their course and the best thing is to move on.

Who knows, maybe you'll miss Thailand, miss the characters, or some other aspect and be back. Maybe to just check in and see what's going on or perhaps to jump back in and get involved again.
