Question

hey all :)

im arriving in bkk friday and will leave again monday, just have a weekend in bangkok/or somewhere else....

Any ideas on what to do ? possible to find a nice cheap hotel (not backpacker style though) somewhere nice you think ? and where would you go if it was you ?

not: pattaya - i dont mind a party and night out, but not in the leage of that place.

hope you can help, and if you suggest in bkk, then if you can, suggest directions too ?

That could be a possibility for party - but can i sleep over too

I think not too long ago the was a forum on Bkk hotels...

locate the TF party, find a hotel nearby...and the search sites

attached to TF seem pretty good ( or Travelocity, Expedia, etc.) --- there seem to be a lot of affordable choices ---

i'LL BET THE Sky-train is nearby too

good luck and take some

pics of Rob that everyone can enjoy at the party...

What's your hotel budget? Less than 1,000, less than 2,000?

Would say 2000-2500 bath is alright. I will be going on weekends in bangkok alot the next 3-5 years starting from march so please share good areas/places to be in on a weekend.

Lived at Nana Hotel which was alright, though i missed proper internet there.

Crazy area though, but great bars around, had a blast !

Sounds like you want to be close to lower Sukhumvit. Try looking at President Soitaire on soi 11. I know soi 4 might be convenient, but you should get out of there more often. There are some great "in between" places that you might like.

As we don't know eachother well, I don't really know what you want. You sound like you have your head on your shoulders but don't know Bangkok very well. Get out of soi 4. Come to a TF event when you can and I'll recommend you some places.

If you carry walk down road from nana there's a small hotel on the right that looks like a laundrette/ internet cafe. All facilities exactly the same as Nana but it's nicer.

Not sure what the farang price is but I pay the thai price 600 baht a night

Yep that's not the Thai price.... that's the cheap, white guy price. 600 baht? Bet the girls love going back there.
