Riding in Bangkok!!!

I'm sure some of you know that I have this:

But, I almost exclusively use one of these:

(Exactly like this one. Reg A Quarter to 7 if you see me let on.)

To get to work and back and around the city. To be honest, it makes getting about a breeze. Running and maintenance costs are pennies and a small fraction of what a big bike costs.

Apart from the near death experiences, I love riding around Bangkok.

I've gotten word that smskun might not be able to get here. There's still an outside chance, but it might be last minute so it might be best not to bank on her appearing.

If not, would EB be up for offering Banoffee a seat? She's a new member up there and she's signed up but hasn't been in contact as yet.

I think this event should stay as it is seeing as there's a load of riders and passengers signed up already for this date, but there's a few blokes with bikes who've mentioned they'd be up for a run out maybe next week?

No event up though so I'm only going by what's been commented.

Hmm. The plan, initially, was a ride out ja.

For those who ride bikes for more than just transport. That is enough.

It became a plan to actually go somewhere and then if anyone else who can't ride but would like to could come too, but, it's still all just about the ride.

When I run down to Pattaya to meet up with Mick (ex Spiroidal), we then ride on to Rayong and have a laugh. Not about going to Rayong, but about the ride.

The ride being the whole point of th exercise ja. Not the getting somewhere and not what you do when you get there.

EB mentioned that this destination is a good place to visit and maybe swim and have a laugh however you get there.

If you want to plan some activities and stuff while we're there, that's great.

But it's not the point.

When we're there we'll do whatever we want. If anyone wants to take a ball or frisbee or what ever we can do that or just swim, sit around and chat or see who can piss the highest if that's what you're into maybe have a few beers and in the early evening enjoy a good laugh on the slow ride back amongst mates.

Ahh thks ja... I just asked cuz I never done something like this.. always coming up with the plan before driving. my plans are always flexible.

Yep, it sounds like fun though.
