Teerak, trust me Demo is way a lot better than Funky Villa...

Funky Villa always full of students, I love that, but it's so crowded. I went there last time there were no place to stand.. and some guy dance and rub my back till my spagetti line dress was torn (it was the new dress anyway). It has live band, but mostly they played Thai famous songs...

Teerak, trust me Demo is way a lot better than Funky Villa...

Funky Villa always full of students, I love that, but it's so crowded. I went there last time there were no place to stand.. and some guy dance and rub my back till my spagetti line dress was torn (it was the new dress anyway). It has live band, but mostly they played Thai famous songs...

yes,right. last time i went there I can't even move my skinny body then i moved to Demo next to Funky Villa with trance music ,girls and guys were so cool.We can go together SBI and we can also go to Muse for sth. :lol:

When you mentioned about Funky Villa, it reminds me the old Zi-gum (Art Faculty) club near by my uni.

Both the music and the customers (hippies, alter students).. lol,

so i can imagine how it looks like.

And Lollipop, as you and me have something in common (no pun intened)

Of course I would love to hang out with you when Im in BKK.

Coz my bkk friends, they cannot make it on the weekday coz of their works.

And the one that can, she has to fly to Korea when Im there..

It would be cool if we can hang out of course.

oh come on... they are loads of handsome Thai guys... I think my friend (BA. Classmate) is the manager there.

Anyway, I didn't go to Iron Fairies. I went to Demo... and then police just stop us to having fun. Damn it.

Friday night sucked big time!

Had a going away dinner with 10 friends early and then we turned up at Curve about 11:30pm to finish a bottle only to have the police shut the place down at midnight!!

The we battled Ekkamai rd traffic and went to Glow which was shut again by police at 1:30am. Tried Narz next but was there for 20 mins before the police shut it down. Frustrating all round and especially for my Korean friend who wanted his last night to be a dance fest. At least he is returning to Paris where clubs shut a set times and not on the whims of district police......

Give me the BKK of 10 yrs ago pls!

PS Demo has great decor but the music is really hit and miss. You really need to pick your night to have a good time there.

It's not usually because of money, simply because everyone pays their 'fee' every month. If one place doesn't pay, they don't shut down everywhere.

That is exactly what guy Narz's staff told me when he walked me to car. He said Commando Head asked for a cooperation and it happens once in a while..

Seems to be happening a bit at the moment. Narz was also closed down at 3am the Friday before (normally open until 7am).

I totally agree with EB. This was the first time in a long time that I can recall major, large clubs being shut down as early midnight. Interesting that they started with the Thonglor/Ekkamai and hiso clubs first.

Following the last few explosions, there are obvious security concerns at the moment in BKK reinforced by the deployment of soldiers and extra police at key locations in the last couple of weeks. Seemingly, CRES has intel of some kind of threat which they are obviously not going to publicly divulge.

As some of the political opponents get more desperate I wonder how far we are away from some more high profile, targeted explosions?

So lucky, it happened in the night that i wanted to get drunk. It's not easy to set up our night out. We can't meet up so often.

I think I spent time on the road more then the pub...

besides 200 baht for parking there was bloody expensive. I could stay only 1 hr. great!!

To nong SBI, we can hear about bomb treat sometimes kha. Plus 17-19 there will be a red shirt parade again.
