Question

According to your opinion, which are the most beautiful places in Thailand? I give you a choice here but please feel free to add to the collection!

Please also see http://www.thailandfriends.com/group.php?gmid=934&do=discuss#gmessage934 in the Traveler's Group for more sharing of views and maybe also hints like accommodation, food and things to see around your favorite places!

I really love Koh Phi Phi. One of many reasons: NO car traffic there. All day long you can hear the birds singing (and the Imam at the mosque!)

I could stay there forever.

Up to now, I've only seen pics of this island but I think it is a must to go there one day! Although a bit hard to reach, as I read.

Nope... Kho Phi Phi can be reached by boat from Krabi or Ao Nang in relative short time... I would think from Phuket too, and there are plenty of boats that go there...

My personal favorite in Thailand, the place I always return to and have not found a more beautiful yet... Khao Sok national park...

http://www.travelblog.org/Photos/4882599 (I have pictures like those myself from Plern Prai rafts, but where I have forgotten :D ) - outside the park (just outside) on a mountain side is one of the very few places in the world where You can see the worlds largest flower - Rafflesia : http://www.khaosokdiscovery.com/rafflesia.htm

If it is a place with more humans, I really think Songkhla is the most beautiful city in Thailand, and the lake Songkhla with it's great variety of birds...

Thanks Jos! I really think we have to go there once we have some free days!

PhiPhi is a 2hour boatride from Phuket. Just talk to your hotel, and they will help you book tickets. Think i paid 1200b last time, with pick up and return at the hotel and boatticket. Well worth it, even if it gets boring after a couple of days....

most beautiful place must be the road through Loei and around Chiang Khan. The scenery in Loei, and the Mekhong River passing Chiang Khan.. Absolutely stunning...

The best deals i had found and booked from http://www.latestays.com/

You can book your ferry tickets and airport transfer with them as well

(i did it and received alltogether an outstanding full-service by this company)

Bay View Resort per night 4240 Baht, (thats what i had paid in the high season), now available from 1699 baht at latestays ;)

Enjoy your holiday on Phi Phi!

I'll be doing a beach trip at the end of this month. We've done Phuket and Phi Phi about 10 times. I really do love Phi Phi for its beauty. The rocks shooting out of clear blue water is amazing every time.

As stuck up as it sounds, we think of another beach trip there and say, "Ugh...again?" I'm sure we'd love it, but any recommendations on breathtaking beaches in Thailand that are comparable to Phi Phi would be much appreciated.

Thank you, Rob. Before i went to Phi Phi i had seen this video. Thats why i had chosen to rent a bungalow on an upper level.

95% of the rooms on Phi Phi are right 'on the beach'. And well, i have to admit i slept very well in my 'higher' room...

So I should fight for accommodation in the remaining 5% once we go there, I guess....

Seems to be a nice place but looks a bit sleepy there ;)

Pai is too busy for me....there are too many tourists there. I preferred Pang-ung (it's also in Maehongsorn). The best time to go there is October as there are not too many people and lovely weather during that time.

Here is a link to see ^_^
