Raise all the boarders and burn passports!

definitely fits with the creed of this SPIRITUAL ANARCHISMISTE (me). but it'd get u run out of amerikkka on a rail.

happened to you too, huh.

sleepin with one eye peeled, as is my want, i noticed a crowd gathering... some of them carrying a bucket of tar and a brush, others a sack of feathers, and a big guy with a pole over his shoulder. i can see far enough into the future to have sofar kept this stinkin hide in one piece.

..."People ask me if i'm proud to be English....of course I say "no"

....then they say...."hey that's rude, you should be proud, you should be happy."

...I say "why?"

....they say "well, you are part of a great country and you are part of the modern world and you are part of this and you won this war and you won that war and you ran a tyranical empire throughout most of the world."

...and I say "Why? I didn't have much to do with it. My parents f**ked there."

Patriotism.

Do you love your country?

I love my country as much as my country loves me.

For my country I'm basically a number entitling a body like myself to carry a passport and an ID card and stuff like that. And pay taxes too.

I mean REALLY love your country?

Really?

Does you heart skip a beat when you hear your national anthem ?

I only have that with the American and the Russian national anthems.

Perhaps because of the Olympic Games.

Don't ask me mine, I don't know it.

Good or bad, right or wrong, do you defend your country from criticism?

My country doesn't need defending.

We have an army the size of a football team.

We were invaded by 'patriots' from about twenty countries and actually right now on average we're better off than the descendants of any of those.

You can criticize it as much as you want, we'll criticize it better

Is it dangerous? Does nationalism breed racism and hatred?

Well, a short form for nationalist is nazi. Does that ring a bell anywhere?

if this thread were a dog show, this puppy wins "best in show."

I think , we are one world or earth......

I hope , that is the future .......

No more war , and one language ........

that can bring peace to the people

THAT HASN'T HAPPENED SINCE THE ROMAN EMPIRE

the roman empire wasn't all that peaceful. and didn't encompass the entire world either.

He's only proving that his idiocy and lack of understanding also includes world history.

Do you love your country? I mean REALLY love your country?

Yes, Ready to die for it anytime I feel it threatened. No matter how wrong it goes or what the mind tells me. This is stronger.

Does you heart skip a beat when you hear your national anthem ?

Yes

Good or bad, right or wrong, do you defend your country from criticism?

Wrong, criticism is healthy. Accepting and considering it makes us stronger

Is it dangerous?

Yes, it is. First of all I don't like anything that devides and separates people. Neisther the thing that goal wellnes of one while others suffer.

Second - I live in a mad gunpowder keg where in any discussion or a conflict there are at least 4-5 sides all of them right. Listening to blood is actually the wisest argument and "cheer our friends" could anytime turn into "Honey, bring me the machine gun after washing the dishes please. This is not madness, this is Sparthaaa! (just as example)" in minutes.

Does nationalism breed racism and hatred?

No. Well, it could be used by some to breed hate, but the nationalism itself - I think not.

Right.

Sorely, there is always some as*hole rookie around and you'll just have to protect yourself and your family, because he (in some cases) honestly believe in what he do and won't listen to your arguments.

Pacifism brings you to the position of being a sheep amongst wolves, which is not pleasant longhtherm (historically we've tried it too, the result - 90% of the population wiped out and any building, blarger than a hut demolished - it just doesn't seem to work). Nazis doesn't always have something to do with it .

Good and carefull education for ALL the people, culture mixture and social contacts (to see for yourself that others are not necessary evil just bacause they are THE OTHERS) maybe the key, trough I do not actually believe it is possible at global scale.

Fear, mussunderstanding and poverty/greed grow evil.

I don't know. I love the place were I'm born and it happens to be Belgium. And I'm Belgian, but it isn't easy in a bilingual country. Anyway I don't run around like a fool with the tricolour in my hands.

Does you heart skip a beat when you hear your national anthem ?

No. I get goose bumps when Liverpool's Kop sings 'you'll never walk alone'

Good or bad, right or wrong, do you defend your country from criticism?

No, because I criticize them to. But it has to be founded on real facts. Or it has to be really funny.

Is it dangerous? Does nationalism breed racism and hatred?

Blind patriotism is as worse as fundamentalism of any kind.

Do you love your country? I mean REALLY love your country?

Nope, didn't think so.

Does you heart skip a beat when you hear your national anthem ?

Nope, but I do love it before national soccer team kicks off

Good or bad, right or wrong, do you defend your country from criticism?

There's no need for that, but I probably would

Is it dangerous?

You betcha, if you look at the ammount of people and the rate of heavy crimes and homicide it is compared to the US for example, HOWEVER most kills are done by family members or rival criminals, not because they want your money or something. But let's be clear, it is not nearly as dangerous as some african countries for example.

Does nationalism breed racism and hatred?

It does although in The Netherlands is not really a race issue but a religious one or more like a not really religious against very religious. The religion of many immigrants decides on how their children are raised, I do believe that in 30 years or so that will be history. Children from muslim parents being born in Holland or grow up there from a young age already rather live more free and so they colide with both their parents AND the dutch culture. They want more freedom so when they'll have children the children might grow up with more freedom and then if they have children they will grow up almost exactly the same as the original dutch. It is already going the right way, HOWEVER a dutch politician is about to broadcast a movie in which he will show why he thinks the Qur'an is a bad thing. This might cause some big issues in the very near future like the things happened in Denmark after the Mohammed comic.

...I'm drifting away from the subject, so that's enough for now.

I'm no real patriot, I am NOT willing to die for my country, all I care about is my family, friends and other people who are close to ME when it comes to defending. Other than that it's every man for himself.I don't want to die somewhere out in a dessert, HOWEVER I do respect the people who are risking it. I don't have the answers on how to bring world peace and I cannot say that the things done in the middle east right now aren't nesscesary. Some of those people are so full of hate it's not human anymore. If have a big example on how much hatred the muslim people in Holland carry right now too but that's a different story. All I can do is hope things will get better and for Holland I think it will happen.

how is that the right way??

BECAUSE the dutch way and the original strict muslim way don't go together. Picture young people sitting together in class, then on a friday there is a party and everybody is going to have fun, nice boys an' girls are gonna make out or maybe even go for gold... BUT NOT the muslim kids because their parents won't allow it. People go out and have a beer and a laugh, maybe even smoke some weed in a coffe shop where it is legal to do so ...the muslim people don't they're not allowed etc etc. Parents of dutch, chinese, suriname kids etc. have much more freedom plus their parents have better jobs in general. They also fall behind in the languages so all and all, they're having a sometimes tough time growing up while the next block from where they live it's a different ballgame. All this causes that there isn't equality at least not in their eyes and it causes hatred, fights crimes etc. SO if their young ones and the ones after that get the chance to grow up the same way as the original dutch it will create equal and better chances. Most companies rather hire a white or black guy than an arab. This is fading slowly ofcourse.

So that's how it's better, I'm not implying dutch people are superior, just that if immigrants will have the same opportunities if they get some more space and freedom. Don't even think about calling me discriminating because none of girlfriends was gaucasian, in Holland I've been with Libanese, Colombian, Surinamese and well ok, maybe the german was gaucasian but she never really was my girl. And my friends come from all corners of the world as well, one of my best friends is from Iran, HE for one is an exception, his family came to Holland adjusted completely and now he's running his own buniness for the past 4 years, plus his dutch language is excellent except for writing but everyone is more than willing to help out anytime including me.

mmmmkay?
