PeeMarc
"Spinal Tap" 2 songs - a rather moving piano solo piece called "Suck my love pump" and also the song where they have stonehenge props and midgets on stage. Brilliant.

Brilliant. that stonehenge thing actually happened to a friend of mine when he was on tour. except, sadly for him, it was his drum platform. so did the thing about getting lost in the catacombs of the arena they were playing in. my favorite spinal tap song is "big bottoms"... "the looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand, you know what i mean." that was about the only "mockumentary" that's really been worth the two hours or so it takes to watch it. I was watching the BBC series 'History of Rock' (I think that was the title) many years ago and I remember the episode they did on Black Sabbath. I could have sworn that the entire Spinal Tap mockumentary was actually about them. Could be wrong. But both were equally hillarious.

Mazzy
Rocky Horror Picture Show, can't remember they exact number, but it as to do with a transvestite vampire and a frankestein monster, oh yeah Meat Loaf was there too at one point. Always got a laugh out of me. Especially if you go watch it in NYC around Halloween, good time guaranteed.

Phantom of the Opera : Christine 3. My Fair Lady : No favorite song in particular, but the musical play is soo cute and funny!Hmm, maybe, The Flower Market. 8)

PJack
This was truly a memorable moment in modern musicals. Lyrics posted for your enjoyment. The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin' That's what I said The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand Or so I have read My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo Big bottom, big bottom Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em Big bottom drive me out of my mind How could I leave this behind? I met her on Monday, twas my lucky bun day You know what I mean I love her each weekday, each velvety cheek day You know what I mean My love gun's loaded and she's in my sights Big game is waiting there inside her tights, yeah Big bottom, big bottom Talk about mud flaps, my girl's got 'em Big bottom drive me out of my mind How could I leave this behind? For some reason I missed page 1 of this topic. ( I am with Thai friends). Anyway, I voted for Big Bottom by Spinal Tap. When that came out - I think it was '83, some people did not know it was a satire. One story I heard from people 'in the biz' was that some guys from that German band - Scorpions went to see it and thought it was all about them! They were so pissed off they walked out of the theater. So, when I listen to Scorpions I turn it up to... 11.

The reason this bar was special? They had BANNED any songs from Hotel California. They cultivated a regular crew based on that point alone.
