Someone said he saw (thai girl's) boob on adult website, and he thinks that it must be the faked one 100%. That reminds me about a conversation. One day, my bf and I had dinner on the street. He saw a girl walking through and said "she is a working girl".... I said "What? How do you know that?"... He replied "Because she got a boob job" ... :? ... of course, I dont agree with him. He said "if not, why does she do that?... your friends do that?" Hmm, as i know, my friends (office lady) never do that (or maybe I don't know)... one thing I can think about is a boob job makes girl confident. He also concerns about money because its cost is about 40,000 Baht (i got this rate from a website)... Yes, not many girls can do it... and so what? Do you have any idea from above sentenses?? So many of her hi-so (and even "mi-so") friends have had something done here or there: nose, chin, eyes (to make them bigger or give better eyelids), skin, boobs. Guy friends as well as girl friends have done it. (Well, I mean guy friends who did plastic surgery, not boob jobs specifically. But in Thailand, (used-to-be-)guys getting boob jobs is not that unusual either!) Some friends have received rather poor results and lasting bad effects - the price of cheap plastic surgery. (Although, even pricey surgeons can be rogues, cut corners to increase profit or be incompetent.) Her friends who've done surgery, boobs included, are not working girls. (At least, none that we know of. And if some have dabbled in prostitution, it's the kind that farangs never see: the high priced escorts for rich Thais.) It really amazes me at how popular plastic surgery is in Thailand. But I should get over it, because there are enough people in Thailand with enough money to do it, and plenty of cheap operators. There's also a big emphasis on being beautiful, and certain fixed images of what beautiful is, that drive the demand. Some of those ideas of beauty are Thai (certain type of eyes and light skin, for example), others (like bigger boobs) have been imported from exposure to Western standards of beauty I think. Hey, it turns out Thais in general can be just as shallow as Westerners! Surprise, surprise. Whenever I see a middle-class, slim Thai girl with big boobs I suspect a boob job. The physical body type tends toward small boobs. And if you don't believe me, go shopping for bras in Thailand: much smaller sizes in general than in the West, and absolutely tons of bras with extra padding and pushing to make small boobs appear larger. I've seen a lot of girls in Thailand (Who I suspect had a boob job) but are most probably not working girls... As plastic/cosmetic surgery is pretty prevalent in Thailand - anyone who wishes has the means to do so will probably have a boob job. Cosmetic surgery is a very popular form of plastic surgery, not only in Thailnd.. but also all over the world. In 2006, nearly 11 million cosmetic plastic surgeries were performed in the United States alone (from Wikipedia). But sorry, i cant find the statistic in Thailand... no record. There are many operators in Thailand... and some are very famous. I have known that Korean and Japanese girls fly here to do the operaton...only. And now, as the one of Thailand's missions is to be "Medical Hub of Asia" since year 2008... it seems that this market is still expanding. Ammm.. i'm not so sure from this point... "Thais can be as shallow as Westerners"... it's about beauty passion... woman's basic needs.... Also i'm not sure who is follower... :wink: Good eye, Ling. But dont be surprise!! it is the fact that bras in Thailand is much smaller than in West... surely because of heredity... Asian girl is smaller than western... and extra padding and pushing bra is very useful for someone who has a big boob but not in good shape as well... I've seen a lot of girls in Thailand (Who I suspect had a boob job) but are most probably not working girls... As plastic/cosmetic surgery is pretty prevalent in Thailand - anyone who wishes has the means to do so will probably have a boob job. I think so, Geri. And also breast lift, nose job, face lift, tummy tuck, eyelid surgery and Laser are very popular as well. Anyway, removal of cancers or tumors, such as a mastectomy or in uterus are counted as plastic surgery... which, in Thailand, the number is continuedly increasing. Expensive...its better to pick 40,000 baht (cost of boob job) to buy my toy at SET. 2.
