Sports commentators innate knack of stating the bleedin' obvious and filling in the spaces between mistakes with total crap.

The sound of small groups of spectators clapping around golf greens.

CNN anchor-people giving their opinions at the end of a news item.

Possible exception being Ralitza Vassileva.A total angel who makes even the more atrocious news seem more like a bedtime story.Wonder if Clancy shags her.....wiley old charmer 8)

Apparently, the pathetically ridiculous, farcical US presidential race hasn't finished yet.

In fact, it appears to have only just got started!

you'd better sit down...

it hasn't quite started yet.

There's an election in US?

Wow... you'd think someone would have mentioned it in the news or something!

TF WANKERS!!

Miss Atwood my dear, I hope I'm not included in the aforementioned collective of "self-abusers"

I consider my intentions regarding Thailandfriends truly honourable and can categorically state, here and now, no fair maidens my feel under duress from my actions...

I just came back home after a night at Khao San Road (which wasn't worth mentioning). When I left the street some guy offered me to go to spicy, I was drunk & tired so I just wanted to go home and told the guy I was going home instead, once home my gf said... you know what that guy said? I said, who? the "spicy" guy? No one standing near.... No... he said Ah you have a lady already so you are going to **** her.

This really pissed me off, I didn't even hear another guy saying something to us otherwise I might have understood what he said, the **** is she saved it untill we were home. She probably understood that I'd have kicked his face in  I shouldn't care about this kind of cocksuckers but the disrespect level is just way too high, maybe it's the beer talking but I'd love to release some tension on his monkey head

Exactly my point. Sometime ago, I happened to be in Sathorn doing a money exchange. As I was walking by, one woman happened to hold her nose as if to say I stunk. There was another time on the skytrain and on Sukhumvit Rd with her supposed boyfriend in tow. When she did that, they both laughed so, in respone? I let my guard down and gave them both the finger and said "**** you *****!" I dared them both to respond.

Neither one did, they scurried off like mice.

Do I have regrets? Yes because one? I let my guard down and two, I have this ugly side of me I wish to never want to see again. It's a long story. I'm a "work in progress".

arent we all? Many years ago I used to be part of a group called AFA (anti fascist action). We used to target BNP members who were commtting racial assaults etc. We would target and hospitalise them, and it took me a long time to realise that all we were doing was sinking to their level by employing violence.

after that, switched to mass community action instead; if the BNP tried to organise in an area, we would organise the community en masse to confron them non-violently and make the point they werent welcome.

Same effect, but less damage to the conscience...

peace out...

Hopefully, the NVA tactics actually had a much more enduring effect in undermining the BNP than whatever you guys were previously doing in order to "hospitalise" BNP members?

I guess some council elections in the UK suggests not in some areas.

more enduring in the areas we were in, and far less damaging to my conscience!! Other than that small aberration ,have never been violent in any way and hope to never be again. At the time, it seemed the 'right' way to do things as they didnt really understand any other language - but I soon realised that all we were doing was becoming like them. I never took any joy in the actions - whereas with the NVA, there wasa joy of seeing ordinary people; housewives, pensioners, kids etc, uniting to give a message that they werent welcome in that community.

Think what got me going down that path originally was being attacked on my own doorstep; beaten and hit in head with lump of concrete - had 24 stitches and was in hospital for 3 days - but later came to see that 2 evils do not cancel each other out, they merely increase the amount of evil.

Mate I appreciate your honest reply. One can understand the need for revenge after being beaten as you were and your wisdom of experience in foresaking violence is a good lesson.

I also always liked the friendly, diverse crowds at NVA gigs. Groups hugs were also good as long as you weren't near a crusty, unshowered hippy!
