biachung
Does anyone know where to get those artificial cigarettes ?, someone here(nZ) was selling them on Trademe (NZ ebay) but the government had them banned because they weren't properly assessed/tested. From the feed back of the few who did buy them, they sounded pretty good.
biachung
To quit is the best option, but prepare to gain weight... That's a big problem, you see, especially for a woman over (ahem) 30 like me. A friend gains 15 kg after she stops smoking for 6 months. You may say a simple solution is moving your lazy butt to a gym, easy to say but difficult to do, you know. and If I gain another 10 kg. my husband might find himself a new slimer wife. Tough life!!!! Forget the gym, it costs money and to be honest it's pretty damn boring. So here's what you do, next time you go for a walk to the shop or wherever ,take a little back pack with you, load it with 15 -20 kg's of weights, make sure it's comfortable for you and simply walk.

bangkoknights
I stopped once after reading that book. It really worked for me. Almost effortless I stopped. A year later I started again. Reread the book and it didn't work anymore. So if you read it, make sure you read it with an open mind.

I imagine it helps you focus and strengthen your resolve more than anything else. Something we should be able to do ourselves, but struggle to. the book really helps , i have the book also and quit before smoking for 6 years with that book , if you wanna stop smokig then i think its the best way to buy that book
Joopjip
I think it is ridiculous how unacceptable smoking has become considering we still have zillions of cars and factories releasing toxic gases into the asmosphere but somehow smoking is supposed to kill your loved ones? Walk down any streets in BKK and you're more likely to die of smoke from bbq pork stick sellers

Walk down any streets in BKK and you're more likely to die of smoke from bbq pork stick sellers Well for me , i am really happy if i can stay away of this stinky cigarette.I hate when people light up their cigs and smoke into your face .That is meanly why i never stay more than 30 minutes in the first floor of larry drive .I mean after one hour the room is so full with smoke that it acctually look like a fog. And yes smoking kill not only yourself but also your loved ones.

Zombiedriven
THE PATCH DOES WONDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am about to begin week 3 with out cigarettes also one trick. if you want a cigarette bite your tongue cause that metallic taste of your own blood kinda kills that need for a smoke
R.Win
I think it really doesn't matter whether you find your strength from a book, aid by using patches or otherwise.Lest time I gave up, I was just at a point where things were really good, I had resolve and I knew (at the time), that I just couldn't possibly smoke for the rest of my life (drinking too). It was just how it was. My mind was just ready to accept not smoking or drinking. No book or other help except from a good reason and the will to do it. Of course something happened and being on my own I just fell back into them. Now I'm almost ready again with the knowing it has to stop, just struggling with the will. Really, it seems ridiculous when I think about it, but it's wierd how such a stupid and self-destructive thing like this can take over your whole life. Administrator
2nd hand smoking kills a lot less people than 2nd hand drinking or 2nd hand driving...it's the actually smoker that really gets hurt.

lizardo
True....different methods for different people.... here's one...think of a non smoker you know who you loathe....dislike, don't respect....and then think: 1. How can they enjoy a drink without a smoke but I have to go outside the bar and disrupt my drink to smoke 2. How can they enjoy a meal without a smoke afterwards...and I have to leave my friends and sit outside alone and smoke 3. How can this horrible person enjoy sex and not smoke afterwards...but I have to stink the bedroom out with smoke 4. How can this dumbass prepare for a big meeting without needing a smoke to relax but i need 4 smokes to be able to face the meeting 5. How can this **** get stimulated for study without a smoke but need to sit and smoke 3 before starting my work  How come non smokers enjoy eating, drinking, sex and such....??
