Dar MM; I think if you read my post in context to the one I was replying to you will realise I was being heavily sarcastic towards JD. PKK is the Kurdish, well Kurdistan Workers Party. I mistakenly said Iran instead of Iraq for the training camps, so sorry for that. There have been instances of Kurds fighting in Palestine, but they are in a minority, probably more so given the amount of training the Kurds have received from Israeli security forces. Kabul which was left untouched by the Soviets was all but destroyed by the Mujahideen commanders. Including the "Great Hero" Ahmed Shah Massoud. later, many of the same folks who were US allies against the Soviets turned on us and declared the West to be infidels. Including many of the Arab individuals and groups who became what we now know as al Qaeda. These morons completely discount the aid that the US gave to them which allowed them to take down the Soviets. They think that GOD assisted them. Freakin' morons. If they are Muslim, they will turn on Israel, the US and the rest of the West at any point that they enter into that good old time religion. The closer they get to GOD, the more likely many are to turn towards God, Jihad and Terrorism in times of trouble, financial crisis, etc. King Hussein of Jordan was great friends with the Iron Lady of Jerusalem--Golda Meir. Yet, he attacked along with Syria, Egypt and every other Arab Country in '48. I could go on and on. I don't think that all Kurds are Muslim for that matter. There are Yezidis (sp?) and other infidels up there in Northern Iraq. And I'm almost exclusively sarcastic when I'm talking politics here. Euros are a different breed these days. He loved the guys with whom he worked. Came back with a great appreciation of the area and it's people. Some of the Kurds (many? most?) have a GREAT dislike for Islam and Arabs. If the Kurds have a "terrorist" group up there, they aren't very active and they aren't doing a great job. No one seems to care about them at all. I'm sure, though, that if they started hi-jacking airplanes and blowing **** up...every lib within the West would be all up in arms and they'd find someone to blame.
