Stramash
[h=1]Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop, 30, Arrested By Madison, Wisc. Police[/h] The Huffington Post Brenna Cammeron First Posted: 1/6/12 05:30 PM ET Updated: 1/6/12 05:30 PM ET We've seen plenty of weird crime mugshots and heard plenty of bizarre stories. But when it comes to criminal names, this one is ... a mouthful. Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop, 30, on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and a violation of probation in Madison, Wisc. Zopittybop-Bop-Bop was born Jeffrey Drew Wilschke, according to court records . He legally changed his name to Beezow Doo-Doo Zoopittybop-Bop-Bop in October. According to , when he's not in trouble with the law he enjoys activities including "eating," "standing," walking," "thinking," and "diamond." He's also single... so there's that, ladies. Zopittybop-Bop-Bop was apprehended by authorities after neighbors complained of "excessive drinking and drug use" around a local park, the Madison police report says. Police say that when they took Zopittybop-Bop-Bop into custody, they found him in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a knife. On his way to the prison, Zopittybop-Bop-Bop allegedly told cops that he would eventually "get even with them." If he plans to do so by challenging the precinct to the most amazing scat-off we've ever seen, we call dibs on front-seat tickets.

FarangFarang
REPORTING FROM TEHRAN AND BEIRUT -- Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Saturday welcomed the U.S. Navy’s rescue of 13 Iranian fishermen held hostage by Somali pirates in the Arabian Sea, calling it a humanitarian act. But the hard-line Fars news agency, which is close to Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard, dismissed the rescue as a Hollywood-style propaganda stunt intended to justify the U.S. Navy's presence in the nearby Persian Gulf. U.S. officials announced the rescue Friday, saying sailors from the guided-missile destroyer Kidd had boarded an Iranian dhow Thursday and detained 15 Somalis after one of the fishermen was able to reveal in a radio communication that his vessel's crew was being held captive. The U.S. officials pointed out that the destroyer was part of the same group of warships that Tehran had said was no longer welcome in the Persian Gulf. "We consider the actions of the U.S. forces in saving the lives of the Iranian seamen to be a humanitarian and positive act, and we welcome such behavior," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told state television’s Al Alam Arabic channel Saturday. "We think all nations should display such behavior." Fars said Iran’s navy has often freed foreign ships from pirates without seeking publicity. "A U.S. helicopter filming the rescue operation from the first minute makes it look like a Hollywood movie with specific locations and specific actors," Fars said. "It shows the Americans were trying to exploit it through the media and present the American warship as a savior." The rescue came amid increasing tension between the West and Iran over the country’s disputed nuclear program. The United States and its allies suspect Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons, a charge denied by Tehran, which says the program is for peaceful purposes only. In response to escalating Western sanctions, Iranian officials have threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz. About a fifth of the world’s oil exports pass through the strategic choke point. On Tuesday, Iran’s army chief advised the aircraft carrier John C. Stennis to stay out of the Persian Gulf after it passed through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s navy also carried out 10 days of drills near the channel. On Saturday, the Revolutionary Guard began military exercises near the Afghan border, Fars reported. Mohammed Pakpour, commander of the guard’s ground forces, was quoted as saying that the war games were aimed at improving border security. Iran is planning additional military exercises near the Strait of Hormuz next month. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/world_now/2012/01/tehran-welcomes-us-rescue-of-iranians-from-somali-pirates.html

FarangFarang
A Thousand Dildos For The Military WivesLAS VEGAS—RealTouch wants to bring teledildonics to Afghanistan. Company manager Scott Rinaldo, appearing at a CES party sponsored by porn firm Pink Visual, said he's working on distributing "a thousand dildos for the military wives"—in this case, Internet-connected sex toys that can let families thousands of miles apart get intimate. I'm not sure if he's being skeezy or sweet here. Let me start with the technology. RealTouch is a slightly terrifying, synthetic orifice that lives in a plastic tube and connects to a computer. Based on data from an Internet connection, the unit warms up, lubes up, pulses and grips any item stuck into it. On the other end of a connection, a "performer"—who could be a paid "cam girl," or the aforementioned military wife—hand-operates a sensor-covered rod to run the motors in the RealTouch. I really hope I didn't just freak out anyone reading this story. Rinaldo's core audience, at least so far, is men who buy his device to sync it with porn videos in the privacy of their own homes. But Rinaldo sees a genuine social benefit in his tech, so he said he's trying to get in touch with the U.S. military to have RealTouch approved as a method for a sort of virtual conjugal visit. (Presumably, female soldiers could operate the rod while deployed and send the main unit home.) Given the lack of privacy on military bases, I'm not sure how that would work, exactly. But it's a thought. RealTouch is the latest stab at teledildonics, the science of remote-controlled sex. The term was coined in 1975 by a science-fiction author, according to Wikipedia. The gadget's appearance here at CES was part of a sex-tech party organized by Pink Visual, a porn company which specializes in technology-forward content delivery. As an intrepid reporter, I stuck my finger into a RealTouch unit while performer Kirsten Price hand-rubbed a nearby, Internet-connected dildo. The sensation was very strange; what felt like a whirring, rotating, feathery object made of a moist latex-like material was almost polishing my finger. Afterwards, my finger smelled like lube. I'm not going to judge. RealTouch is currently available for $249. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2398754,00.asp?google_editors_picks=true
FarangFarang
More WTF?!?! Goodness Customs official transferred over assault aired on YouTube The Customs Department on Wednesday transferred back to headquarters a senior official based at Suvarnabhumi Airport who allegedly assaulted an airport security officer while refusing to be patted down. Director General Somchai Poonsawat said the C-7 official, who was identified only as Sombat, will face an investigation into the incident, which occurred on January at in the airport. The investigation will take about 30 days. Footage from a surveillance camera of the alleged assault, which has appeared on YouTube, shows the official walking through a security check. However, he refuses to be patted down after a security alarm beeps. http://youtu.be/CN0an4lZ9bk In the footage, the official is showing whacking the officer's ears with both hands. The official then points to his badge and the junior officer bows apologetically. The video was posted on YouTube on Monday and by Tuesday it had attracted many thousands of angry comments. FarangFarang
Twinkies-maker Hostess Brands files for Chapter 11The maker of Twinkies, the well-known cream-filled sponge cakes, has filed for bankruptcy protection in the US. Hostess Brands said it needed to start a legal process of reorganisation, as difficult economic conditions had exacerbated existing problems. The confectioner said it needed to change its "uncompetitive" cost structure and labour contracts. Hostess said these problems meant it had not been able to keep up with larger rivals in the industry. The company, which is also behind the Wonder and Merita bread brands, as well as Drake's cakes, said it had received $75m (£48.7m) in financing from existing lenders to enable it to keep going while it reorganises the business. It has asked the court for permission to enter into this financial agreement and to make changes to labour agreements. "We have engaged in good-faith bargaining with our labour partners for many months. We remain hopeful that we can reach an agreement that will allow us to amend our labour contracts that we can emerge from Chapter 11 as a highly competitive company that provides secure jobs for our employees," the company said in a statement. It told customers that all operations, from baking to retail outlets, would continue as usual. Hostess Brands emerged from a five-year period in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2009. It complained that its efforts to make itself more competitive during that time had not gone far enough, so further changes were needed. But its boss expressed confidence in the future of the company, founded in 1930. "Hostess has some of our industry's most powerful and resilient brands," said Brian Driscoll, president and chief executive. "With generations of loyal consumers, numerous iconic products and a talented and experienced workforce, Hostess Brands has tremendous inherent strengths to build upon." It employs just under 20,000 across the US and had revenues of $2bn last year. Papers filed with US bankruptcy court said it had assets valued at up to $1bn and liabilities of about $1bn, much of which is owed to workers' pension funds. Its biggest unsecured creditor is the Bakery & Confectionary Union pension fund, which is owed approximately $944.2m. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16514426
