LakeGeneve
Now we all know that the number of members listed is a little, ahem, misrepresentative but what is it with the TF Countries list?!? 215 countries are listed! This is more than UN member states (192 going to 193) and the accepted number of recognised sovereign nation states in the world. 192/193 could grow to about, 202/203, if one includes territories which are not universally recognised as a sovereign state, are in dispute or their status is unresolved eg, Kosovo, Palestine or Western Sahara. But how does TF have 215 countries? It seems through some unique nation state criteria. Perusing the world map, there are no members from the saharan belt of Mauritania, Niger, Mali or Chad which is perhaps not surprising. And no one from DRC. But Heard & Christmas Islands are listed as seperate countries (tell the Aussies), as is Greenland (well the Danes seem to be letting it go) and some place called the United States Minor Outlying Islands (in the Indian Oceanwith 8 members!). Antartica is also listed as a country with 15 members (all current freezing their balls/boobs off and wishing they were in Thailand). TF world; redrawing political boundaries and a world unto itself! funky_house
Perhaps it pushes up TF advertising revenue, by being able to say "We have members in over 216 countries" LOL Next stop the moon huh Rob?

Most of us you could categorize as "out of this world," so no issue there. The beer lovers are from mars and the handbag lovers are from venus. funky_house
Talking of beer. Off topic, but I was just looking at the calendar of events for Glow, and if you click on Friday 24th July, it seems to indicate a "free" bar. The flyer is small, but it definitely says free bar. Although I can't make out what you need to do for it. Perhaps it pushes up TF advertising revenue, by being able to say "We have members in over 216 countries" LOLNext stop the moon huh Rob? Treborz
I would have Guernsey or Channel Islands if it let me. Even though i am English.
Stramash
I would have Guernsey or Channel Islands if it let me.Even though i am English. I would argue for the Channel Islands as a group, and certainly the Isle of Man SHOULD be separate as it is not part of the UK. That's the ultimatum Rob; recognise us as individual nations or wake one morning to find your home plastered in BNE stickers...

It's just the 90% of websites havent bothered updating to the latest version.....maybe admin can look at this and see if he is abke to get a fully up to date list. (even though some of them on it won't be recognised as countries, such as the channel islands). For the record Iain I have no problem with Scotland and Wales being recognised as independent countries. I'd prefer be identifiable as English rather than British. Hobbes
How about just calling it 'Assortment of rocks scattered about in the North-Sea occupied by sheep and other forms of belching mammals'. That would pretty much cover it all.

Admin_2
I use carpet shampoo on mine...heavy duty sometimes if it's needed. I know some Germans that need to shampoo their whole damn body more often...especially the pits. But I guess that goes for every country.
Damnam1
yep, we do.It is cheaper than Gilette and the balls feel way softer.
