it's amazing though - that some people conspiracy theorist think the moon footage was all done in a studio. this feat gave the saying 'I got your back' analogy a whole new meaning. today we take it for granted that a plane will automatically take us from point A to point B - back then a lot of this space travel stuff not only never done but was all theory with the expectations that it would work that alone makes it a remarkable feat.

as to why there wasn't an eighth attempt... mmmm anyone remember the vietnam war? what came after it? the 70s. an economy only slightly less sucky than the current one. and ah manned space flight is expensive. space shuttle was actually designed as the 'economy' version.

apparently we humans didn't learn much from all those little green men mr cooper thought were sweeping under the carpet, must have been nothing of use in area 51 because space flight's still ******* expensive. remains to be seen whether Obama will scupper Dubya's Mars plan.
