Riding in Bangkok!!!

But, I almost exclusively use one of these:

To get to work and back and around the city. To be honest, it makes getting about a breeze. Running and maintenance costs are pennies and a small fraction of what a big bike costs.

Apart from the near death experiences, I love riding around Bangkok.

It looks like at the moment there are 6 bikes going, if Bkk_Me gets sorted, and 10 people.

YC can't take a bird on the back cos he's a p*ssy and EB won't take anyone over 60kg unless they're both well tasty and who can blame him.DC also appears to have a spare seat. Ciaran?

Karnie could take Neung no problem. I'm taking Querida, EB could take Kus if its ok with him and imback will already be there.

That way YC can ride alone and Bkk if he's not sorted can pillion with YC cos he's a bloke.

Does that seem ok with everyone?

I don't really mind who takes who so if anyone can figure it out better? Bear in mind it's a ride out not marriage,

And Bill hasn't signed up yet either.

Lol! Yaddayaddayadda! I might have a passenger yes, but I can't decide on this quite yet. To be honest, I like to ride alone.

Thing is, I have not yet found a woman that follows/understands my standing orders;

When I turn right, look over my right shoulder. When I turn left, look over my left shoulder. Always lean forward. Hold on to me tight, except when I break, that's when you push both hands onto the tank. Etc., etc.

Well see... Since we all will be riding slowly, I might change on that protective gear ****, but full face helmet is a must. So a smaller person could ride with me maybe, IF she can handle the tiny and hard passenger seat.

I have to go with YC on this one. I prefer to ride alone. Although I don't mind having a passenger for this outing because it will be a slow cruise.

But like EB, I also have weight concerns and an hour+ is a long time to be sitting on that tiny seat in the back of the bike I am planning to get. I think sitting on the back of a scooter might be more comfortable on this trip for those needing a ride.

Anyway, I am sure it will all get sorted out.

Believe me, it's not coz I had my own experienced. I did had 2 riding trips by scooter many years back then; 1) from BKK to Bang-san, 2) from BKK to Phuket. It's pain in the real ass esp the long trip to Phuket although I and a friend of mine switch to be rider and passenger when each of us want to. BTW, I was a passenger on a big bike once from BKK to Kanjanaburi and it was not as bad as scooter riding trip but it might bcz that bike has not so tiny seat.
