PiAnt
I pay for nothing anymore without appending the appendage "Anee lakaa farang ru blao? Ok jai dai dare gourd khun na. Gourd maak duay. Lae pom rak khun. Maak mai. Nom yai jang." Maybe that's just me.

Hmmmm. Sure your beef is mate. I was more disputing the Number 1 spot put forward by Phil. Sure few people have opinions on this; Argentinian, Kobe, Wagyu,Aberdeen Angus, Vanautu etc etc. But one thing for surel the best beef in many countries, including Argentina and Australia, is of Scottish origin! As someone who just orders the steak without asking which football team it supports, id have to say that Australian restaurants, pubs and working mens clubs time after time offer outstanding tender beef, whereas in Britain i normally have to take my lion along to chew it for me. But British pubs/bars are something to be missed, the ones in Thailand are either full of brass poncing drinks, or pretentious people that are far cooler then i am.
English_Bob
Aberdeen Angus - hung for 28 days. Slate grey, not a drop of blood. Served rare, melts like butter. (And I've been eating expensive steaks for 22 years) The best.

What the majority of those serve is Zebu - quite poor quality beef. Same with the pub chains. Go to a decent restaurant or an independent pub/bistro, you are more likely to get some Aberdeen Angus. I have a frind in South America and he swears that Argentinian beef and beef restaurants are the best in the world. But both Argentinian and Australian beef cattle stock are bred from Scottish cattle.

When I lived in Gibraltar we used to pop across the border to Spain and they had a few tapas houses that imported Argentinian beef. Your friend is dead on. It is probably some of the best beef I've had in my life.

Admin_2
Despite having to listen to farangs constantly fighting with each other about what they hate most about Thailand, I love living here. One thing that I both love and hate about living here is the lack of safety that EB brought up earlier. Any day, a huge piece of concrete could just fall on my head, seriously injuring or killing me, and there would most likely be no one held responsible. On some days I find that pretty cool. Other days it pisses me off. Today it pisses me off (if you were wondering).

Teddy
Being able to wake up and use a swimming pool without it being full of piss, kids and cost a bomb is always a nice thing t have in life. Although saying that,we just come back from ice skating, did smell faintly of piss (not mine) and was full of kids. So that was annoying. Anyways, i'm off for a swim...and a wee.....Im old skool.
