Ianin
PAKISTAN ? I once had plans to spend a week travelling around Pakistan and left after 2 days. The only thing I liked about the country was the Airport departure lounge.

ling_dtua_khaao
South Africa and Lebanon are not dangerous as long as you avoid certain areas. You can say the same about USA. I haven't travelled in S. Africa, but several not particularly adventurous friends have visited without worry. Slurms lives there, ask him. I've travelled around a fair bit of Lebanon including the Bekaa valley, avoided down south near Israel. No problems. The one airstrike I experienced was so precise (remember, it's the Israeli air force attacking) that it took out only and exactly the one building they were after, and I slept through the whole event. --Ling

khun_lung
I've been shot at in Lebanon during the civil war there. I've been stalked in Sudan. I've been strip-searched in Somalia. I was mugged in Egypt. I've been through an air raid warning in Iraq. I won't be going back to those places, thank you, with the posssible exception of Egypt..
