Kitschiguy
Is swearing vulgar and lazy or a fertile area for language creativity. Discuss - But keep it clean
i_love_som_tam
when used at the right time under the right circumstances swearing can be quite useful and entertaining. where it becomes a tool for the lazy is when that person cannot effectively particiapte in a debate and reverts to swearing as a form of debate. it shows a loss of control, intelligent thinking and some serious anger management issues. one such person has been banned from here for his pathetic outbursts. f*ck me to tears.

Guest
"swearing" So much depends on the situation? Too much is a bad thing but there are exceptions that can be funny. Does anyone know the actual origins of for example, the word ****?

English_George
Swearing is a natural exhaust for emotions, which if left untreated would cause us considerable psychological damage. The 'Horseshit' principle claims that swearing is neccessary to our evolution as human beings, without swearing we would not have evolved into the sophisticated species that we are today. So everytime you hear the word '****' or 'wanker' or '****' think of what it has done for our evolution and where we would be without it. Some people would have no vocabulary if it were not for swearing, imagine how highly evolved they must be. and just for the record..........no-one says '*****' like an Englishman.
