What was the last movie you've seen?

saw a couple of films this weekend which will porbably have little impact outside the UK.

first was 'The Damned United' - the tale of Brian Clough's ill fated time at Leeds United. A great look at both the behind the scenes machinations of a major (well they were major then, sorry Treborz) team, but also at one of the most egotistical and outspoken managers of all time. If you like football, watch this.

some great Cloughie quotes -

"I can't even spell spaghetti never mind talk Italian. How could I tell an Italian to get the ball? He might grab mine."

"The river Trent is lovely. I know because I have walked on it for 18 years."

"Walk on water? I know most people out there will be saying that instead of walking on it, I should have taken more of it with my drinks. They are absolutely right."

"I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the business. But I was in the top one."

The second film was 'Lesbian Vampire Killers' - low budget comedy-horror with the rising UK comedy stars of James Corden and Matt Horne.

basic synopsis - Their women having been enslaved by the local pack of lesbian vampires thanks to an ancient curse, the remaining menfolk of a rural town send two hapless young lads out onto the moors as a sacrifice.

Very funny in parts, and lots of semi-clad beauties for the guys. But would say better as a dvd than in cinema!!!

:D

Marley and Me : It's a lovely one, I thought it was just stupid comedy (that I like) but it got me ...

Loved it too

May I suggest you to read the book as well? Its awesome and I think you would love it :D

Since u read the book, Im curious if Marley was a special one or just the devil dog?

And I'm going to watch a movie of another Wilson... think Luke is the youngest bro?

"Henry Poole is Here" (no idea what is it about, never heard or read about it but it's a new released at the rental shop so I just grabbed it)

I will be back to tell how I like it soon...

In the book the dog is the focus of almost everything. He is a menace, but loved by the family and turns out to be the glue holding a lot of things together.

The movie is funny and a bit ridiculous, and the dog isn't EVERYTHING like he is in the book.

Definitely pick up the book if you get the chance.

here's some links that have no equine penis moments at all; bout half an hour of material here, but utterly hilarious. And all the MPs, celebrities and pop stars who appeared in these clips genuinely thought they were appearing on a serious programme!!!

firstly, the dangers of designer drug 'cake'

then all 3 parts of 'paedageddon' on the dangers of paedophilia...

Yeah, watched this at the weekend too mate. It is brutal AND depressing, but the acting and direction are excellent, and I think it really captures the mood of the time...

Just watched this a few days ago , method acting at it's best!!!

HBO Documentary 09-Thrilla in Manila 1975

In HBO's Sports and Documentary Films latest film, Thrilla in Manila, Director John Dower depicts boxing's greatest rivalry in a way people have never seen. It looks at the famous Muhammad Ali/Joe Frazier rivalry from Frazier's perspective in a transparent representation of the fighter's tumultuous relationship with his better known rival.

Flash to past, the 1970's in the USA, very good!!!
