Forbidden love in the office

Is it true that you shouldnt have an affair with your colleague? I mean i've been wondering what if you kinda have a crush on your colleague, would you go for it or would you just do nothing cos you shouldnt?

I've had a similar discussion on this matter with some of my friends before. Some said this is not good cos once you f**ked them and if thing didnt work out, you might feel a bit awkward to see them at work or even work with them.

But if your office is huge that u two hardly see each other, unless you arrange to meet each other or maybe only sometimes in the elevator or hallway, would you still go for it? here i mean your colleagues in generally; ppl in ur level, lower or higher.

I'd never go for my bosses cos they're all married and have kids LOL one of them really got a nice arse though! I used to have a sort of relationship with my colleague who work in other branch, in mumbai branch to be exact. It was funny cos no one actually knew about us. Until now, he's back in the UK and become some manager ...i'm glad i dont have to work with him.

I personally think love in the office is unforbidden but its how professional you are as one of the top colleagues. I reckon that you can flirt with your colleague but not too much, not too obvious. Well i do........not so secretly LOL

I did it twice and wouldn't recommend it. Can cause a lot of problems. But i think it is up to each person to decide for themself. And I know plenty of married couples who met at work. I just prefer to avoid the hassle.

When I was your age I worked in a large office building, about 500 people working there. I flirted with and dated whoever I liked and it was no problem, even if we had day-to-day business together. Almost married one of them (she said no, thank god). Her name: Rhonda Fitzenwriter. I don't think she'll be checking into TF and be embarrassed!

Gossip? Sure. Who cares?

Miss controversial... some things are just not done at the office... like takin a **** on the same floor (in case of emergency ofcourse....dont **** at work unless u really have to).

"love" at the office...hmmm...reminds me of Bill Clinton and Monica... nothin wrong with that...right? i mean...yeah she is a famous now. :P

Working in the same office can get boring for the couple after some time. It would be better if each partner have careers in different spheres. Otherwise you might find that you don't have that much to share with your partner when you get home, apart from office gossips..

er.. welll.. I dont know if i have a crush on someone at work.. but I just so sad to see him leaving us. I have two more days to see him around.. :(

one in my team, she married with one in this company, they met here and fall for each other then married finally, now they have one kid.. she told me love at work is possible.. but however their works are not related with each other at all.. if just same company but not connected in any task, it should be okay..

thats why Im not sure if i should be happy to see my favourite one leaving.. will not be in same team, same company very soon..

in some companies, it is forbidden..ex. in United Nation (i know coz the parents of my friend work there and there is rule that the couple couldnt work together)

By the way, i think love in the office might be good if ya think in postive way...it might give u more eager at work hehehe....i never did this..but good luck May :P

It can work sure, if you are both mature and realize that things can not work out and you will still have to work together afterwards, why not give it a try? Probably if you have a good friendship to begin with if things didn't work out, then they would just revert back to the way things were before. You only live once.

I would not date my colleague or people who work in the same company. Don't think I would feel comfortable with having to see each other non-voluntary. I think it's kinda boring.

In my opinion I think drop the idea. If you happen to review the Code of Business Ethics it will reflect on Conflicts and Interest. Some companies are very strict with this code. In any case that the management knows that theres something fishy going on it might suffer both each other careers. Especially if you are serving in a Management position. For some it would be fun, but too dangerous...
