Riding in Bangkok!!!

Question

I'm sure some of you know that I have this:

But, I almost exclusively use one of these:

Yamaha+Mio+ZR+new+scooter+high+price.png

(Exactly like this one. Reg A Quarter to 7 if you see me let on.)

To get to work and back and around the city. To be honest, it makes getting about a breeze. Running and maintenance costs are pennies and a small fraction of what a big bike costs.

Apart from the near death experiences, I love riding around Bangkok.

Anyone else riding around Bangkok?

Anecdotes?

I heard it's a picturesque place. There's a lake and waterfall, maybe we could go swimming - I think we can hire boats too.

Neung said she has been many times - any suggestions on activities?

I suggest 'eating event' at imback's mom ( and this is my main purpose )

I never been there just supposed to be, but took wrong exit way and gone to Ayutdhaya instead.

Well, 3 times for survey and 100 times for training...

but this time I better go with the flow...

Hope rain will fall before we go there... cuz this time of year i'm not sure about water level in river and waterfalls and river, if there's no rain just forget about rafting, ain't no fun.

So p'Ciaran, how will you get there then?

I note with interest that Ciaran has failed to disclose a story of how he *ahem* strained his elbow......

At least he will be able to seek the sympathy of beautiful women that he meets. When asked how he sustained the injury he can chose from the following answers;

1) I was attacked by some reds shirts guards after trying to assist a young female office worker who was being harrassed by them,

2) I injured it during the rescue of a small child who had fallen into a klong,

3) It is an injury sustained while working as a humanitarian worker helping displaced families in a war zone,

4) An elderly monk fainted from the heat, I carried him to a taxi and took him to hospital.

I had the same thing except the doctor told me I damaged the radial nerve.

I had zero control of my arm from the elbow down. I couldn't even hold a pen in my hand.

It took about 2.5 months before I had full dexterity back.

BTW, when I went to BNH I told the doctor about the symptoms and that I woke up and my arm was like this. He said "Did you get drunk last night?" I said "Yep." He said "You pinched your radial nerve. I see it all the time. If you didn't get drunk the pain would have woken you up."

2.5 months .... bollocks to that !!! luckily it's only my ulnar nerve and not my radial .... and yep it's falling asleep while under the influence that is one of the biggest causes of this injury.

it doesn't hurt at all, but no real feeling or strength in the little finger and ring finger of my left hand. also no power in the muscles of the palm of my hand !! just makes some things more difficult to do than before !! hoping it clears up sometime soon !!
