101 Great Things about Living in Thailand

Question

While I have sometimes found the forum about the protests etc interesting and sometimes informative, I am getting really tired and bored with so much negative **** about the country and people, and sometimes the hatred in words expressed.... not just in forums... but in day to day life here too.

Sure, I have been as guilty of being negative myself and saying things from my own anger or frustration that I later come to regret.

I also just had a good buddy, who has lived here 6 years, get so affected by all the **** lately that he has left and gone back to him home country.

In the end, being negative just draws more negative and focuses attention away for the many, many wonderful things this country and people have. As an expat living here and in Asia for many years, Thailand is my home of choice. I still cant think of a better country (for me) in which to live.

So please, if you have something good to say about living here, or a story to tell, put it here. (or are dramatic and negative forums more popular?

1. Where else would I find better or more delicious food than Thailand? If I left, I would miss all my favourite dishes that I can get anywhere on the street or small restaurant.

2. I love the Thai sense of sanuk and people so easy to laugh.

3. If you live here for a while, you cannot avoid being touched deeply by 'nam jai' at some unexpected times.

I could go on and fill 101 reasons myself but...

whats yours?

skin you love to touch

+10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000, my own skin is so nice when I use smooth-e

I use it to aid wanking too. Awesome!! It doubles the feeling of the toss and orgasm and the mixture of my spunk and the smooth-e is a gooey sight to behold!!!

It's nice to be considered tall at 5'11

And I like it when girls say, "41 is not old... still young na." Bless them for trying.

I like being able to read the secret code that is Thai language - I never get sick of the amazed looks and admiration.

Today a policeman stopped me and asked where I was going. When I told him Thai language school, he checked my homework, showed me where I missed mai eek and let me go with a warning...

(and a 200 baht bribe).

Its so easy to say positive things about Thailand - my god i think about Thailand every day since I left...

The people -----have to be what I miss the most......all my thai girlfriends were like sisters, I hate girls that have to ***** and most of my girlfriends were not like that at all

Music - Loso....still 1 of my top bands - still can sing most of their songs.

The food......wow, how i miss the food

The social life - not live to work but work to live

The beaches - i love the beach life - cocktails at sunset

The clubs - u can chat to anyone and dance with anyone

The shopping - i loved to shop shop shop

So so much.........I cant think of any bad thing at the moment because all the good things take over.....obviously when i am there i got frustrated with lots of things....but time to reflect.....guess thats like anywhere

Miss you Thailand

The water sprayer for my a*s.

University uniforms (I can't believe I'm the first to mention it)

People who are SHOCKED every year when there is no water... and then there is too much water.

Hospitals staffed by models in fantasy uniforms.

Motorbike taxis through the traffic.

Cosmetics departments.

and some more stuff...

OMG university uniforms!!!!!! i was shocked and stunned how an earth could a guy teach those girls!

me too like the water sprayer!!!! the Thais has the right idea with that!

so much is so funy and hard to explain - like when i wanted my coffee in a bag!!!!!! seems so sensible at the time but hard to explain

- Laundry services.

- Traffic jam? No problem, just let me ride on the pavement for a while.

- Phone numbers -

"Hi, excuse me... I don't know you. I've never spoken to you before. But you look quite hot. Can I have your number please?"

"Sure... it's 08..."
