I don't know if this will help cos different people have different likes:

For me, depending on what sort of bored I feel, I will done one of the following:

- read a book (maybe you will like this)

- go onto the TF forum to post and read (I think this is what you are doing now hehe)

- go to the temple I always go to and help out with some simple chores or just sit around and talk/listen to the regular volunteers there that day (usually very grandmotherly/motherly figures). I enjoy it cos I can discuss with them how life was in the old days and also learn something from their precious life experiences. (I do this often in SG when I'm bored or unhappy).

- eat, yummy!

- watch a DVD (I like old movies and the Esplanade Library in SG has lots of free arthouse DVDs for citizens to loan for free. Maybe Thailand's libraries also have DVDs for loan?)

- play with my family dog (yes, there IS such thing as pet therapy)

- spend a quiet day at the musuems and art galleries

Sorry, as you can see, I am an introvert so when I'm bored, I will usually opt for things which can allow me to be alone with myself and my thoughts/feelings. I like to do my shopping alone too when I need things. Except for eating out, which I like to do with friends. If not, I am happy to do it alone too. I feel eating is such a sensual thing - it feels so good be it done alone or with people.

Anyway, hope you lose your boredom soon, peace! ;)

You could be right.....Repeats of Peak Practice and a chug would be far more interesting than conversing with you.

Write to a large company's customer support center and complain about not getting an answer to your previous question. When they say that they have no record of you writing in, tell them that you are upset that they lost your e-mail, don't care about your business, and that you expect a full refund (even though you never bought anything).

The rest is up to you...

There are some people that like to get dressed up to the extreme, going to great lengths, and spending lots of time to look just right for a simple shopping trip to the market. The thing that breaks the boredom is getting ready to go out. It's not so much where you go, it's just the fun of dressing up, and looking extremely good. You don't even have to go anywhere special. It can just be going for a quick trip to the market to do some grocery shopping, but knowing that everyone is looking at you with jealousy, wishing they had taken the time to look as good as you do.

This can break the boredom very well if you think about how good you can make yourself look, and then do it. Just have fun doing it, and your boredom is sure to go away. This picture will give you an idea of the lengths you can go to dressing up for just a simple trip to the market.

I occasionally have quiet periods (work wise) but not that often.

- read the papers (online mostly) &/or a book

- gym, swim, salsa class (normally with friends), play a sport like tennis, squash, netball, volleyball etc. (again, with friends)

- socialise (another way of saying 'go out & party) ;) << favourite!!! lol

- spring clean the apartment

- go shopping

- do mine or a mates hair (cause I'm an ex-hairdresser)

- get my nails done or have a beauty treatment (or DIY-it at home)

- watch movies

- cook (whenever I cook, I don't feel like eating afterwards, even if I was starving to begin with)

- I sometimes spend hours browsing fitness, fashion & health & beauty sites. Girlie I know but I love finding new products & different techniques.

- sometimes random spontaneous activities, for instance, I was bored a couple weeks ago so I called my mate Linn to see if she wanted to come over to mine & chill. She came over & we ended up walking to Lumpini Park, hiring a pedal boat & had a great time taking pictures, feeding the fish, freaking out over the massive crocodile-like looking things that seemed to be following us etc. lol.

plus there are sooooo many things I want to do but (for multiple reasons) can't do them right now. (learn to dive, sky dive, horse riding, learn piano [actually my american music teacher friend was gonna teach me but she's gone back to the states] fitness bootcamp, continue learning to surf (started then stopped), travel more to 'the islands', learn spanish, do a 'make up' course & much, much more.

So yeah, can't really become/stay bored for long as there are soooooo many things out there to be done/experienced :D

quite awesome ; i love this idea 'cause i always love to tease ppl :) . When i was in high school, i and my gang ( about 4 ppl) love to call to any bank , especially debt collector function, and speak only with men officer then pretend to be their sexy customer and try to tease them. That was boredom killer activity when i was young

So, thx rob for remind me of the limelight in the past ;)
