Mmmm its too hot here in bkk.... I cant pass each day without loads of smoothies in a day.. BUT .... My Blender is getting bored of stawberry, blueberry or whatever berries and orange :shock:

I want to try new recipes. yeah I get a few books from asiabook already BUT

Anyone want to share your recipes?

Note : it has to be something with loads of vitamins BUT without loads of calories . :roll:

You really don't need extra sugar if you're using fruit) (especially high G.I. fruit like watermelon, strawberries, mango or pineapple).

Also, if you want to keep the calories down, try substituting plain low-fat or non-fat yogurt for the ice cream.

Haagen-Daaz and Ben & Jerry's are delicoius because the fat and sugar content is so high - typically about twice as many calories and three times as much fat as other brands.

My favourite

Ice cubes

Banana (put in the freezer for a few hours. Wrapped in foil)

Strawberries or mango or any other fruit you like

1 tub low fat yogurt (blue one, can?t remember the brand )

Low-sugar or no-sugar soy milk

Honey

Wheatgerm

1 Mango

1 cup of Nestle low-fat strawberry yoghurt

1 cup of skim milk

1 drop of vanilla essence

Water (depending on how thick you want it)

3 Servings @ 118 calories a cup and less than 5 grams of fat

Made some this afternoon cos I was feeling sulky about having to eat salad for lunch...mmm.

If I want the taste:

Frozen strawberries

Full fat milk

Ice cubes

Vanilla ice-cream

- blend

add whipped cream (to make it easy I use the spray-cans)

- mix it softly to keep the fluffy texture of the whipped cream... ENJOY :lol:

If I look for nutritional value (after the gym):

Pineapples

Water or low fat milk

Ice cubes

Dextrose powder

Hydrolized Whey Protein powder (best taste if ?Pina Colada? flavour from Dymatize Nutrition Co.)

Youve got to try Strawberry and lychee, also Coconut, mango and banana with a twist of orange, yummy. get yourself down to Smoothie mania next to patpong markets. the smoothies there are tremendous, i would have to drink 2 in a row and i was stuffed it was like a full meal. lol.
