Princess
The interesting thing about most TF'ers who come to parties armed with cameras is that they just wait for the chance to catch another TF'er in a compromising pose and then get all excited posting these pictures in a journal the next day. Whether or not the picture paints a true story isn't their concern. I just say no thanks, I don't like my picture taken.

I did appear in a lot of pictures but 'jumping over furniture' isn't quite right. The careful observer will note that at the time I was also more involved in TF events, dating a TF'er who was very sociable and was generally getting to know everyone. The careful observer will also note that during aforementioned events I also carried my own camera therefore if I was anywhere near as desperate to be clicked as you suggest I was, I'd have simply done it myself 8)

Whether or not the picture paints a true story isn't their concern.I just say no thanks, I don't like my picture taken. That is because it is so funny and entertaining to most people. Sure the one who got caught has to suffer a little humiliation, but I don't mind being the idiot sometimes to give others a laugh. You take yourself so seriously Princess. 8) Everyone's got to get caught sometimes, and then we are all part of the club! not always smart, sometimes silly, sometimes goofy, a little crazy, and a little naughty! Why does everything have to be a popularity contest, can?t people just have fun with friends sometimes? It?s nice to have pictures of those happy moments as time goes by. Ever notice that some people actually make an effort to getting caught on camera in compromising poses! Hahahaha However, those posting pictures should be kind and not post pictures that will really embarrass others. It does really detract from the events when the fun is spoiled for some by ruthless picture taking and posting.

It does really detract from the events when the fun is spoiled for some by ruthless picture taking and posting. If I'm doing something stupid and get caught doing it then fine, it's fair since I put myself in that position to begin with. But some idiot clicking candid pictures and then giggling about them the next morning just pisses me off. Of course you're going to get a stupid shot if you click someone shovelling food into their gobs. That isn't a 'happy moment' - it's just an idiot with a camera pretending to be doing soemthing useful. Perhaps you're not sure what I mean by 'compromising'. Compromising are the kind of pictures than can get you into trouble with a significant other. I can't elaborate without telling stories that aren't mine so no, I do not take myself seriously, I just do not like to be photographed by people I don't know and have those pictures posted on a public website bearing in mind that I've removed all pictures of myself from my profile to begin with which MIGHT be an indication to someone with a tad of common sensethat I do... not, in fact, like....to....be....photographed (anymore). And that I may have my own reasons for that.

Does it mean that because *you* don't mind being seen as an idiot everyone else must choose the same by default? Interesting.
frankenburner2
If someone says, hey look at me, I'm showing my thong, snap me and titter, that's fine and great. Shoving cameras up the skirts and down the tops of the unsuspecting is bullshit no matter how you slice it. i hear ya dawg~!...i'd much rather not have people snapping shots up my skirt! my thong is private! I hear ya, hearing me dawg... I've been to TF events and watched drunken kisses/gropes exchanged, if you do that in the middle of the room then that's ya business. I remember picking a drunk girl up off the floor at one after party as one grinning buffoon snapped away rather than help me. Later he posted a pic, which from that angle looked much worse, with a suggestive title, if he had been in Thailand when he posted them, I would have given him the wondrous opportunity to feature in photos of him getting his arse kicked publicly. Admittedly AngelMaster has a point however as in all things people need to moderate themselves and keep it fun not spiteful. i hear ya hearing me hear ya dawg! GoldMember
Ah, fame on TF does have a cost after all Fame by name is one thing but how many Tf members could you spot in the street if they walked right past you.Personally ,aside from those i know...its 5 max.Ego often way exceeds reality. Now there's an upside I didn't think of... In the general scheme of things looking desperate for attention on a "dating" website populated by a bunch of "cyber losers" is surely just another advert? hey, if it works... If you're reading this part you're a cyber loser same as me... the careful observer will note it shows up full size when you hit 'reply'. short version: i may be a loser but thank GOD i'm not same as you...
