Why are there so many ugly hookers in red light districts, and who actually uses their "services"?

well, you've been to esplanade and *it* is surrounded by mega-whorehouses. there is no escaping 'red light districts' in bangers really. however, it appears the 'red light district' in question are the ones catering to farrangs, so those little 'karaoke clubs' in thonburi etc dont count?

This is an easy one: because there is market for them. Otherwise they wouldnt be there. Probably the 60 year old fat guys group? Not necessarily. A 40 year old with stretchmarks is the only standard option for all guys having a hard time entering the 20 year olds market due to whatever reason and there is a whole range of reasons and not just "personal standards".
