The Most Humble Moment

that you could be content and genuinely happy but yet ,materialistically, have nothing. It was a real big eye opener.

Like one of breakofdawning's journals about "Pu Yen" (Grandpa Yen)...He's *very* old if I'm not wrong then 80+++...and he is poor and earn little money to survive day by day. But he is content with his life and his living. He doesn't accept others' help, instead offering help.

Anyway, I still want Canon 350D and a mini ipod. :?

[Oy be an average materialist who's into photography and cannot live without music.]

September 14th 2001 ? National Prayer Day ? following 3 days after 9/11. The day that America stood still and President Bush, pastors and prelates, people of disparate and incompatible faiths, united in homage to the very force that created the disaster in the first place.

After watching countless disaster movies and thinking I'd be that hero guy, having to sit halfway up a mountain wondering if we were high enough to be safe from any 2nd waves, not wading thru the wreckage trying to make sure my mates were safe.

takes a good measure of guts to admit this.

Mother Nature will humble any mothr f**kr, you play with her long enough. get humble or she'll kill you.

along those lines, hearing that when the first plane hit the first tower of the world trade center, there were announcements in the second tower to stay calm and return to work, the problem was contained to the other tower.

my cousin's sister-in-law was outta there before they even shut the subway down underneath the towers, switched to the long island railroad, and safely home out on long island by the time the buildings collapsed. and knowing that i would have done exactly that, glad i was safe in bed 2.25 miles away and didnt have to.

that's not the humbling part though.

the humbling part was shooting a short in a nyc fireman's house, and looking him in the eye after finding out how many of his friends and colleagues were on their way UP THE STAIRS when the buildings collapsed. and they all knew what they were getting into.
