riga71
Don't know... Here where I live ladies seems to be allowed to use those endearings with anybody... but guys have to be aware and just can use that with close friends. Not that all ladies here do that, but no one will find that unpolite. On the other side if a guy use thoese endearings with any laty he talk with it's highly possible that some of them will find this "offensive" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UX0p7uAW2s

Bushi
I have had some friends call me like that, and I never thought anything, as I would say back sometimes without thinking as it meant nothing special. Just like saying. ' What's up'. Well at least it seemed that way. But I do know it hurt my ex's feelings one time and I felt bad about that, and it made me think how I would have felt if she had done that to me, and so I learned from it. Nave
Only one nick that my ex and I used to call one another 'babe' and thats about it !! We hardly call each other with 'sweet as sugar' nicknames !!! I just feel that it doesnt sound so sacred when you turn from 'I love you, babe' to 'Now go f_ck that pole, you custard !!' And when we fight I never call him with such bad names either ! Instead, I called him 'Monkey' and he called me 'Octopus'... Now I wish that he would accidently call my nickname when making love with someone else.. imagine how thrilling it would be "Oh..you're so good, Octopus !!!" the girl might think he's into bestiality and thats my great time of revenge.. he he he he he he he ha ha ha ha ha ha

Dr_Mike
Adorned names such as dear, sweetie, honey are just kind tones of friendship. They don't directly express any emotion whatsoever. True love names are always "made up names" and also includes using that person's real name in a heart-full sentence of atonement. The attenuation of the romance accents the feelings through verbal phrases, but as any Thai girl will do that, you cannot rely on passionate words to ensure any "relationshit". it's what you do, not what you say that counts. That being said: it's best NOT to judge your partner by what they say to others. Give their roots a place to grow. Pay close attention to what they do, with you. Otherwise you are kidding only yourself.

pinkcandygirl
I use the terms of endearment just for few people who are close to me not for everyone. And if my partner is using for every other girl i would tell him not to use it for me.It wouldn't feel right then.
