My North Trip#1 [Introduction]

  428.gif428.gifSawasdee everyone Laughing It's been nearly 3 months since my north trip (6-9 Feb 2009) I didn't post about it yet because I've been sooo busy......Well, actually 70% busy and the rest 30% lazy lolThis time, I don't want to post only photos and let you say "Oh, nice pics thanks for sharing...bla bla"I want to put some detail about the places I've been visiting, that's why it took long time (good excuse? lol)If you don't mind reading a long journal you will have some idea for your next winter trip for sure. An early Friday(6th Feb) morning, My workmates and I had to go to Chiang Mai Province for a simply farewell party. .....Some fog along the way..... img0254copy.jpg   line-005.gif   00111.jpgOn the way........(No.1 is Bangkok)You can click for description pages (wikipedia) about all provinces below kohkret_02.jpg --------> monstudies024.jpg --------> 2007423E7E7_2.jpg

 article172551131042.jpg -------->100_8192.JPGNakhonsawan Province (No.8)                             Kamphaeng Phet Province (No.9)   We were in hurry as we wanted to arrive in Chiang Mai Province before 4p.m.so, we didn't stop every province along the way except the petrol stations for relaxing,  bought some drinks and foods. ------------------------------------- In Singburi Province, We went to the dessert shop called "Mea La ead"  for bought some "Kanom Peay"I have no idea how to call it in english but something like these ones. F44626A.jpg          F44627C.jpg          F44632B.jpg (Thanks to ThaiTambon.com for the photos)They are very delicious and the owner is very kind.  Laughing ------------------------------------- In Kamphaeng Phet Province, We bought some dessert again.It's called "Chao guay cha gang lao"  (Chao guay is a kind of Chinese vegetable jelly black in color) 2c0b8ce86e225ec2694874addea02697.gif                     Photo-0025.jpg   line-005.gif  b_wf002.jpg-------->sss_0423a.jpg Sukhothai Province (No.10)                                  Lampang Province (No.11) After that, We arrived at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang in Lampang Province.Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is a Buddhist temple. The first element, prathat, means Buddha relic (from phra meaning monk and that meaning essence).The second element, Lampang, is the name of a location in Thailand. the third element, luang, means great.All together, a loose translation is Temple of Lampang's Great Buddha Relic. (Thanks to wikipedia for some detail) I have some photos to share but in"My North Trip#2 [Wat Phra That Lampang Luang]"to be continued soon. heehee. But seriously, looked like a great trip. The waterfall in Kamphaeng Phet Province looks amazing!! The Kanom Peay looks tasty but not so sure about the black vegetable jelly!! Looking forward to part II!!
