Much like the thread about Long Distance Relationships. P'MArc wasn't taking a shot directly at me. But he was basically telling Unny (Thai girl) that she was an idiot for entertaining the idea of a relationship with someone who was not in physical proximity. Basically, he was insulting my relationship and someone for whom I care and every other relationship and every Thai girl who is involved in one.

I guess in his mind that's ok. Later in that thread, that I can only assume is sanctioned by the moderators. Others spewed forth the belief that the only reason that one would be in such a relationship is money/Gold.

The whole damn thread was insulting.

As a flag-waving American, a die-hard patriot, and a Bush-loving hardcore hawk whose fiscal philosophy is probably somewhere to the right of that of Alan Keyes, I find it most effective to express my views--whenever possible--at the ballot box rather than in the TF forums.

As a realist, I'm well aware that the good ol' US of A has more than its share of problems and paradoxical circumstances. It neither surprises nor offends me that many people get angry at the actions of my country's government, because I do myself at times.

One of the great things about TF is that it gives us a splendid opportunity to enjoy the many things we have in common with others from different places in the world and all walks of life. That's why I rarely choose to participate in the potentially divisive stuff.

More than a few of the people I enjoy most on this site are probably the "liberal, commie-loving tree-hugging" types.
