eagle
Strangely none of the other 'mericans appear to have much of a problem with the liberal musing by us commie-loving tree-hugers except for Mr. Quickdraw from Hicksville/Kentucky. None of whom you are aware. And perhaps that ties into the thread about why people don't post on here as much... But that couldn't be....riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight Ok, if Paul-the-turd and one or two others feel their sensibilities are to hurt to post anymore on TF than that wouldn't exactly be a loss as such. And in that case not-being-aware can truly be a blessing. As for those resident Americans I have spoken to over the last couple of months, no one has walked off in a huff or cold-shouldered me or any of the other usual suspects either. Or where these folks just pretending to be 'mericans? :? :salute: As a flag-waving American, a die-hard patriot, and a Bush-loving hardcore hawk whose fiscal philosophy is probably somewhere to the right of that of Alan Keyes, I find it most effective to express my views--whenever possible--at the ballot box rather than in the TF forums. As a realist, I'm well aware that the good ol' US of A has more than its share of problems and paradoxical circumstances. It neither surprises nor offends me that many people get angry at the actions of my country's government, because I do myself at times. One of the great things about TF is that it gives us a splendid opportunity to enjoy the many things we have in common with others from different places in the world and all walks of life. That's why I rarely choose to participate in the potentially divisive stuff. More than a few of the people I enjoy most on this site are probably the "liberal, commie-loving tree-hugging" types. I have some republican friends and I am amazed they are but then they are not Karl Rove fans and I respect their opinions as I respect Rob as I have known him as a sensible person on TF. The republican as fiscal conservative seems replaced by the religious fanatics they rallied to support them and to their detriment. Ron Paul is a republican but more like their version of Ralph Nadar. I think in the long run the Religious right and the Karl Rove lie techniques have seriously hurt the party. Karma lessons for the christians.

Mister Moobs
God wouldn't let anything happen to the guinness factory, if their is a God  Take your pick: These are the world?s ten known Ancient Gods of beer:1. Silenus In Ancient Greek mythology, Silenus is the God of beer and a drinking companion. He is usually associated with his buddy, Dionysus. He is often featured as a bald and fat man, with a big beer belly. He is normally drunk and it is said that he had to be carried either by donkeys or satyrs (in Greek mythology, satyrs are wood-dwelling creatures with the head and body of a man and the ears, horns, and legs of a goat). 2. Dionysus Dionysus is famously known for being the Ancient Greek God of intoxicating drinks like wine and beer. He is also known as the Liberator as he liberates oneself with the intoxicating power of alcoholic drinks. He is the son of Zeus and considered Silenus his tutor. 3. Ninkasi Ninkasi is the Ancient Sumerian Goddess of beer and brewing. It is said that she provides the world with the secret to make beer. In Sumerian culture, she is also known for her power to satisfy human desire. 4. Osiris In Ancient Egyptian culture, Osiris is the God of agriculture. He is also known as the God of beer. A Greek historian from the time of Julius Caesar once wrote that, ?Osiris taught the people how to brew the beverage which is made of barley, which is not greatly inferior to wine in odor and potency.? 5. Aegir In Norse mythology, Aegir is actually the God of the sea. It is believed that he has the control of the storms and turbulent seas. He is also known as the God of beer and brewing. 6. Tezcatzontecatl In the Aztec tradition, Tezcatzontecatl is the God of pulque (a traditional alcoholic beverage made of fermented juice of the century plant, and similar to beer). He is also associated with drunkenness and fertility. A monument built like a pyramid was built on top of the Tepozteco Mountain for the worshiper and now, this place has become a well known archaeological site. 7. Mbaba Mwana Waresa In Zulu mythology, Mbaba Mwana Waresa is the Goddess of beer because it is believed that she created the first beer for human comsumption. She is also known as the Goddess of rain and the rainbow. She is celebrated for her search of true love. 8. Yasigi In certain African cultures, Yasigi is the Goddess of beer, dance and masks. Her statue portrays her as large-breasted female holding a beer ladle while dancing. 9. Radegast In the Czech mythology, Radegast is the God of hospitality and mutuality. According to the legend, he is credited for the creation of beer. 10. Raugupatis and Ragutiene In Ancient Baltic and Slavic mythology, Raugupatis is known as the God of fermentation. Raugutiene is Raugupatis partner and she is known as the Goddess of beer. http://socyberty.com/folklore/10-ancient-gods-of-beer/

I enjoy reading them and telling you that you are spouting hypocritical, utterly fantastical nonsense. You don't seem to like that. You insist that all and sundry agree with your propaganda. Otherwise, there'd be no need for all of the insults. I had never addressed anything directly at you, Hobbes, until you started in with the redneck/hick nonsense. You struck out because I made a post that was less than flattering of Germany. Seems you were offended that I was speaking ill of the Fatherland. Funny that... Au contraire, I'd rather be surprised if many or anyone agree with my 'propaganda', as you like to call it. To extreme to be palatable to the mainstream and hence no insistence at all. But then we do know you like to indulge in a bit of exaggeration. Have I insulted you? Really? My bad, apologies for denting that tender, sensitive soul of yours. You can make as many unflattering posts as you like about Germany for all I care. I'm not a flag-wavering sorta chap and haven't lived in the place for the best part of 20 years. Nothing you could ever say (write) could really offend me, not on the 'nternet. I know you have been trying but unlike you I'm to thick-skinned for that sort of thing. But good luck in keep trying.

I react to something and you accuse me of being thin skinned. You react in much the same manner to my very much similar provocations and you have thick skin. The usual denials will come, I'm certain. You're thick skin started aiming retorts in my direction only after I attacked Germany as the home of the Jew Killers or some such thing. And I did it to prove a point. Point being that if any country is constantly insulted in the same manner as is America on TF, the persons from that country would become offended. It's been the case with Canadians. It's been the case with Germans. The only ones who seem oblivious to it are Brits. They seem to have a sufficient lot of humor and sense of irony that it really doesn't phase them overly much. Hell, Digitalcat became offended and came out in defense of his country because I was throwing insults at a nation which happens to use the same initials as his country. Even the Kiwi jump out in defense of his tiny little Island nation. Don't even try it. If you weren't offended by my Germany directed insults, you'd have never started up with the redneck thing. As well, when I ratchet up the insults directed at Germany and the European Union, you become more vociferous and frequent in insults thrown in my general directions. What's Iain like to say; "Denial. It's not just a river in Egypt."

LakeGeneve
Seriously though, Dave. I don't think anyone was taking shots at you... Rob, I didn't say that anyone was. Much like the thread about Long Distance Relationships. P'MArc wasn't taking a shot directly at me. But he was basically telling Unny (Thai girl) that she was an idiot for entertaining the idea of a relationship with someone who was not in physical proximity. Basically, he was insulting my relationship and someone for whom I care and every other relationship and every Thai girl who is involved in one. I guess in his mind that's ok. Later in that thread, that I can only assume is sanctioned by the moderators. Others spewed forth the belief that the only reason that one would be in such a relationship is money/Gold. The whole damn thread was insulting. Soooooooo we can't have a discussion about Long distance relationships, America, Men with Moobs, Americans, Relationships between White men and Asian Women, Kentucky, The Army, Men, Traveling, sun glasses, cameras, living, walking, football and so f*cking on because...... wait for it..... they might be somehow vaugly connected or lead to our good friend Dave ''Moobs'' Kentucky. FOR FUCKS SAKE DAVE ITS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU...... this forum did exist before you came a long and no its didn't talk about YOU back then! You can have all the conversations that you want. I did not say it was all about me nor do I think it is all about me. What you want is free reign to say anything you want and not get called on it. Tough sh*t. it's a public forum. Public forums by their very nature are diverse. You shoot an un-aimed shot out the window and chances are that you are going to hit a random person. If you offend me, I'm going to let you know it. I know you don't like these words but it's called accountability and responsibility. In your groovy hippy ethos, there is no accountability. No responsibility. That's why you pour red paint over a shell sign in downtown Bangkok at midnight and feel justified in doing so. (so you said on your blog). If you want to put tripe out there, then fine. Just allow for the possibility that not everyone is going to agree with you. And some people are going to call you on it. That's what it's like living in a world where you can't cluster around you only those who agree with you. It gets messy. Post what ever the f*ck you want. Yee haw! You think everyone agrees with everything that I put on my blog. Hell no. I don't expect them to and contrary to the bull sh*t spewed by Hobbes and you and Ciaran, I don't expect everyone to agree with me here. I expect more often than not that you f*ckin' hippy libs will disagree with me. That's why there is a "what's wrong with you, Dave?" post and a bit of surprise whenever we do agree on something. Disagree with me all you want. But I'm not going to back down and say; "DUH, you're right." every time I run into some resistance or your usual insults when I state my case. I'm going to keep arguing. Until one or both of us tire of it or we agree to disagree. On this board, it's usually 5 or 6 of you to one of me. I expect that my political beliefs will be ridiculed and more ruthlessly because you guys outnumber me. And I usually get what I expect. Now, I'm sure one of you will accuse me of crying here. And if that is what you want to call it that's fine by me. I call this conversing. Dialogue. You lefties are supposed to excel at this. What's funny. If I act reasonable, I'm whinging. If I act caustic and attack instead, I'm bringing out the Nukes. There is no in between with you folks. Now let me go find my kleenex and wipe my eyes. Dave, I want to ask a genuine and reasonable question; which some others may also be thinking. If the TF forums are such a constact place of bullying and disagreement which leads to things getting "messy". Where there are "usually 5 or 6 of you to one of me". Where there is 'no accountability' and 'no responsibility' - in your words. Then why bother? Why waste your time and energy discussing political issues thus engaging in constant spats (my word) with people. And then feeling that you have to defend yourself against what you view as personal attacks on you. If the forums bring you so much hassle, then really why bother? If the forums bring you so much hassle, then really why bother? think this says it all... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv55WsedLYI Iain, this song is one of my favs from the early 80s! Mister Moobs
Dave, I want to ask a genuine and reasonable question; which some others may also be thinking. And then feeling that you have to defend yourself against what you view as personal attacks on you. If the forums bring you so much hassle, then really why bother? OK. I've said all of this before, but...what the hell. That's your interpretation of events. I've a different interpretation of those same events. I don't feel harassed. I don't feel bullied. I've never said hat I feel harassed or bullied. You six aren't enough to make me feel bullied or harassed. Hell, I know for a fact that none of you are fighters as you think it beneath you. How could anyone feel bullied by you six. I don't mind the mess. I've said before that I enjoy the mud. You guys are the ones crying about that even as your participate. Your ability to dissimulate on that subject is fascinating. You with your "I didn't accuse you of stalking. I only stated that you offended some women so much so that they told you where to go in no uncertain terms." I'm still trying to figure out what one would have to do to be told "where to go in no uncertain terms." The only thing that I can think of is stalking. Perhaps, you can fill in the activities that would result in such a reaction form the ladies of TF. I'm also still waiting for the list of ladies who told me where to go in no uncertain terms. Been waiting a while for that list. But hey, I'm the one who is lying. But if you think about it. Really think about it. I think you know why I'm here. The same reason as everyone else. Make friends and find entertainment online. I've been successful at both.

In your groovy hippy ethos, there is no accountability. No responsibility. I didn't say that there was no responsibility or accountability on TF. I said that in the "groovy hippy ethos" of beej there is none. Hence, his eagerness to vandalize personal property. Again, you read what you want to into my words and reply to that rather than reading what I ACTUALLY typed and replying to that. You do that quite often and that was a pretty straightforward statement.

Mister Moobs
think this says it all...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv55WsedLYI Iain, these guys are worse than the neo-cons and the MIC. They see an evil, lying G Dubya behind every corner and evey statement. "You disagree with me, therefore, you are a Republican Neo-Conservative." It can't be anything else. Becoz they said so...

eagle
Raugutiene is Raugupatis partner and she is known as the Goddess of beer. http://socyberty.com/folklore/10-ancient-gods-of-beer/ case closed, its protected
