g0mer
Bangkok isn't the best place for tours. But maybe take him on the skytrain and get off at some of the more popular areas, Siam, Victory Monument, etc. I would suggest leaving BKK, but thats not what you're asking

mannekepis
I will take my friend tour in BKK. but I still have no idea what farang wanna see and have no idea what are worth to see...Any idea?? They?re many art museums and decent art galleries in Bangkok bCool such as nation find arts museums, Parodox on Ekamai Road. etc If your friend likes arts maybe you should take him/her to see some good Thai arts. Shopping can be boring because all goods are the same around the world these days. (well, if only your friend is a woman maybe she prefers a shopping centre than a museum) I've always thought that shopping centers and museums (and zoos) are metaphors of one another - display of endless variety made as accessible as possible. The similarity has gone so far that the forms now mix completely, in some museums the shopping part is now more interesting than the 'arty' bit itself. Why? Because you can actually TOUCH and GET the stuff. And funny the farang who'd want to go to Thailand to see an art museum. It's like going to Disney to finally see a castle when you're already living in Germany or France for 35 years. And shopping boring, well porn's boring too. So I heard. A boat ride on the chao phraya river that is the cheapest tourist attraction here..stop off for dinner in Chinatown maybe have them try out some shark fin soup....take them to the open market shops in Chi town....go to the grand palace......the temple emerald buddha. the gem district....the ancient city it has a great bike ride trail...A thai temple or two ...there is a thousand things to do in Thailand besides nana or papong..not that there is anything wrong with that if that is your bag... Apparently you?ve never been to any art museum in Thailand. Each country has specific kind of art. Unlike Europe, you see it once, you see it all. (you know what I mean). Actually - I don't completely know what you mean. Can I say that? But I've been to the National Museum and some other more local museums - that was quite alright, but still, I think what's in the Vatican alone (ahem) exceeds the totality of what can be found in Thailand - both in terms of nudity as well as quantity (now we're talking) OK, and quality.
