funky_house
I doubt that "The day the Earth stood still 2008" remake, with Keanu Reeves will stand up against the 1951 original, but we shall have to wait and see. No doubt it will be awash with special effects. "Klaatu barada nikto!"

Deester
The Day The Earth Stood Still, a remake of the 1951 classic sci-fi film. Also I'd like to see Orfanato, El (The Orphanage).

Isn't it playing at Lido? Showing at Lido ja showing at Lido and I saw it Saturday afternoon. (movieseer.com for showtimes) I am a huge fan of Cohen bros. stuff but this film was not one of their best. It works, but just barely. The most entertaining is Brad Pitt as the fitness trainer - he nailed the part. It is very American in tone, topic.

Justin_Bkk
I expect to get slated for saying this but... I'm quite looking forward to seeing Ong Bac 2, which is released this Friday. I don't expect too much from the plot or the dialogue, but should be entertaining anyway. Hope it's better than Tonys last effort, Tom Yum Gung! Justin_Bkk
...It's gotta be better than the latest Bond film. Very disappointing!

zeusbheld
Very disappointing! looking fwd to Ong Bak 2, i do like my martial arts movies. looks like hot **** from the trailers. I quite enjoyed Bond as well, I think DC's Bond requires a mental shift in your "007" viewing style! I mean people groan at the implausible gadgets then complain because DC uses items you can pick up at the local mall i haven't seen the last one but i liked Casino Royale pretty well. i still prefer Jason Bourne though. that said i'm generally not a fan of Bond films as i find them corny and campy. Beverly Hills Chihuahua will get a skip... and here i thought you were into art films.
Stramash
few am looking forward to Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler (dec) Clint Eastwood stars in and directs Gran Torino (seen a clip of this and looks amazing) (feb) Coraline (from the director of Nightmare Before Xmas and visionary writer Neil Gaiman, this is first film shot originally in 3D) (also feb) and the mmm maybe we will wait and see award is 2012 (out in July ) am always a bit sceptical about global cataclysm films but this has quite a good cast - John Cusack, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover, Woody Harrelson - though is same director as 10,000 BC and Day after Tomorrow which were both cack
LU
Terminator Salavation is released in july or june as well, can't wait to see it. Christian Bale is playing John Conner. IMO any movie with Christian Bale is worth watching. 1st class actor.
