news just in...

population of USA increases by 5,062,011.

Isn't that a daily event around the southern border of the US?

Yes...

But they aren't skirt-wearing, workshy layabouts... AND they've got a team in the World Cup (to get back on topic).

(PS And some people can understand their accents.)

England 1 US 0

Admittedly, we have looked a little dodgy in the friendlies.

Agreed, but I just see Rooney destroying our defense.

nah, all you need is one brave soul to mention in passing Rooney's predilection for old ladies and the red mist will descend and the red card ascend...

Serious question here...not making fun of the sport as I usually do.

Why is it that in some leagues, acting is a big part of the sport (ie, guy's foot comes within 2 feet of another guy's foot and the first guy falls to the ground holding his knee in "serious" pain), and in other leagues/matches such as the one I'm watching now, the BS doesn't really happen?

sure you will see some by end of tournament, but FIFA have told referees to clamp down on it.

GO USA!!!

To be honest...it looks like England isn't dealing with the pressure very well.

Obviously they are the better team, and they are controlling this second half. But when they get anywhere close to the US goal, they turn into 13 year old boys getting their first girl touch!
