Continuing my series of the 2009 Centre County Grange Fair I want to show you the tractor pull competition.I think tractor pulls are fairly common in rural America and you folks from the cities in the US will probably get a laugh at how we spend our Sunday afternoons here in redneck country.A tractor pull is just that - a competition where a tractor pulls a weighted "sled" down a graded dirt track. The tractor who pulls the sled the longest (without blowing up - not joking) wins. The weight box

'Gas' leak causes fiery end to surgery

Flatulence is being blamed for bringing a hospital patient's operation to a fiery end.
The man suffered minor burns in a brief but "dramatic" operating theatre fire. He had gone into the Southern Cross Hospital in Invercargill to have haemorrhoids, or piles, removed and was singed in the "exceedingly rare" incident involving his own gas.

after 35 years, popular Rockney duo Chas and Dave have announced they are splitting. While never pushing the boundaries of popular music, they were both accomplished musicians, and their playing has been sampled by Eminem, Jay Z, Wu Tang Clan and Foxy Brown among others. They were one of the ultimate beer bands; first time I saw them, around 18 years ago, I approached the evening with trepidation, but after a few beers, and then a couple more, I was down the front singing 'Gertcha' with the bes
