because this morning i save a kitten life...
i found a black-brown kitten on the side of the road... at first i thought it would be a rag and i got so closed to see those yellow eyes... yes... so closed with my short sight
i drove passed him with wonder... how is he? injured? how can he be there? what he gonna do? will he survive?
without second though, i did u-turn... and told my sister to prepare herself... (we got a small towel for him)
i stopped my car in the middle of the road..
Movie I saw last week "Old Skool" got me looking for this song, and then I did find this awesome video:
I close my eyes
only for a moment
and the moment's gone
all my dreams
pass before my eyes a curiosity
dust in the wind
all we are is dust in the wind
Same old song
just a drop of water
in the endless sea
all we do
crumbles to the ground
though we refuse to see
dust in the wind
all we are is dust in the wind
Now, don't hang on
nothing last forever
but the earth
Well there are certainly bigger fairs in the US with much more in the animals department but the small Grange Fair has its share. The Grange Fair started of course as a farmer's camp and today the youngsters of the 4-H keep the livestock tradition alive. Here are a few scenes of our furry friends at the fair:The pig competition: This girl's pig is many times her weight and she kept him under control! Rest up boys, you are tomorrow's breakfast: Err, why don't we have a caption contest for this one

I didn't see any posting about this - in Journals or in the Sports forum. This is about a week late since I have been travelling. I played Volleyball in college and still enjoy watching high-level vball competition. So I was in BKK the weekend before (Sat Sept 12) - just sitting around and saw that the semi-finals of the Asian Women's Volleyball championships were on True Sport. Thailand vs. Japan. So I thought I'd watch. I saw that the semi-finalists were Japan, China, Korea & Thailand. No

As some of unpleasant animals invaded my house so I thought it must because my house is nontoxic area. To get rid off them I have to make house as toxic zone, then I sprayed insecticide into narrow (dirty) passages in house. The out come was I did massacre the cockroaches heartlessly. Now the Karma hitting me, my house filled with smell of the dead cockroaches which I guess they die hiding in house somewhere unreachable. Here I attached some pictures I took during my weekend when I went out to

We're 5000 years overdue: AS if bushfires, drought and floods aren't enough, Australians have now been warned to watch out for volcanoes.A scientist has warned an eruption is "well overdue" and says there are hundreds of volcanoes that could cause trouble, from South Australia and Victoria through to Queensland. But it doesn't seem too urgent - an eruption is already 3000 years overdue. Melbourne geologist Bern

If you're not familiar with the work of Steven Wright, he's the famous erudite scientist who once said: "I woke up one morning and all of my stuff had been stolen and replaced by exact duplicates." His mind sees things differently than most of ours do, to our amazement, and amusement. Here are some of his gems: 1 - I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize. 2 - Borrow money from pessimists -- they don't expect it back. 3 - Half the people you know are below average. 4 - 99% of lawyers give the res
The second edition of my Grange Fair 2009 journal series deals with fair food so of course it's dedicated to AAA!As I mentioned in volume I, fairs are a great albeit corny tradition in the summer and fall here. The Central Pennsylvania Grange Fair is probably one of the most traditional, running 135 consecutive years. My grandmother's brother took my mother there as a girl in the 1930's and I have cousins who camp there all week long now. I try to go there for a day or two to see them (it's about

If mice were hair
If worms had wheels
If dogs were mountains
If zebras had stars and stripes
If music could be held

If spiders could read braille
If hummingbirds told secrets

Today, I took part in the London Skyride. Its a fun ride for all the family, organised by the Mayor of London to encourage more bicycle use. An estimated 50,000 people took part last year. They closed off a large part of central London for this. Could you imagine this in Bangkok? No. Neither could I.
Below is a video and some photos that I took whilst taking part:
