For mental health, bad job worse than no job....

(Health.com) -- With unemployment still high, job seekers who have been discouraged by a lack of work might be inclined to take the first opportunity they're offered. That will help pay the bills, but it could cause other problems: A new study suggests that some jobs are so demoralizing they're actually worse for mental health than not working at all. The findings add a new wrinkle to the large body of research showing that being out of work is associated with a greater risk of mental health pr

bCool was created on TF since 2005, I remember it was 2 days before my birthday. I chose that nick on here didn't wanna use my real name or nickname on the dating site. Some ppl call me bCool, sometimes p'Bee... and so many times I didn't realize that they mean myself. It's been 6 year that I wanted to change it... cuz I'm not that cool, lol.

We are empathetic

I've been e-mailing recently with an old high school friend of mine about some interesting stuff. He was always the brilliant yet stubborn friend in our tight circle, and has done incredibly well because of his intelligence and personality. He sent me along this video, which he calls the foundation for his understanding of the web. Not only does he dream big, he actually implements his dreams into the real and virtual worlds...motivating to say the least. Enjoy the video:

the important things in life...

My wife stood before me with some items in front of her. Without a word, she emptied a large jar of mayonnaise and proceeded to fill the empty jar with rocks right to the top, rocks about 1/2" diameter, then asked me if the jar was full. I agreed that it was. She then picked up a box of smaller pebbles and poured them in to the jar. She shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. My wife then asked me if the jar was now full. I agreed that, yes,

I decided to getting myself engage with something seriously, but I could not make decision which shall I go for between yoga and salsa (dance) As everybody knows that both activities are good for your body and mind, the outcome would not be different but the procedure does Basically, i have been 'involved' with those activities for many years already but its just so like when you are in a relationship with someone. If you dont pay attention to much enough, spend time with him/her, express you

My strange neighbour Part II

Here comes part II.. He has been playing very loud music almost every evening for more than a week now. My husband and I were trying our best to stay calm as we know that he was trying to provoke us. Lucky for my husband as he again was on his business trip since 2 days ago. My husband didn't have to put up with this ****. Yesterday’s evening his bass sound came through our living room and I thought something was wrong with my dishwasher. This evening again, he played very loud music. I rep

Sunset Samui

It is my birthday today, but I am feeling a bit under the weather, due to sleeping with the aircon on all night at 21 degrees. Picked up a rotten cold, and a cough. Tonight am just going to dinner, then the Ark Bar for a few beers, and early-ish night. I was going to have a party this Saturday, but have put it back to next week as I want to make sure I am feeling better. There have been a couple of beautiful sunsets since I got here. Here are a couple of pics I took the other night:

Use brain and heart to love someone

Use brain and heart to love someone. If you use only brain you will not be able to love anyone because there are too many reasons to love and not to love. . . (use brain to protect yourself from getting hurt). .if you use only heart you will lose yourself . . . and will get hurt very soon..(use heart to protect the one you love) . . . . So it is better to use both brain and heart to make it balance . . .

Hmm new place.

Hey its me! Been gone some time thought I would stop back by. Just going to fill who is still in touch with me that I am back in The United States and I have been working at a retirement village in North Carolina. I don't know when I will be able to make the long trip back to Thailand but as it is looking it might take me some time. I have been doing pretty good. I have been through hell the last couple of years and now I am starting to rebound. I noticed that there are a lot of changes to

My new security guard.

Firstly, I am sitting here watching the most amazing sunset as I type this. To the story. I have just had a new sofa delivered for my terrace. Was fitted just before I arrived on Thursday. Looks pretty cool. So first night here, got ready, and went out for dinner and a few beers. Got caught in a downpour on the way into Chaweng, so ended up soaked, and had to buy a tee shirt. When I got home about 2am, I thought I had better bring the cushions inside, so pulled back the curtains, slid the

Re: Pleased As Punch Over Handphone Sim Card LOL :) ;P

Probably this is a very silly thing to post here, but I just can't resist sharing my excitement about a mobile prepaid SIM card I just got which allows me to call back home to my home country during the offpeak hours of 11pm to 11am at a flat one-time rate of 15cents for as long as I want, yipee! And also to Thailand, which is pretty exciting too since I still can't get over my love of Siam, *sigh*. Previously, some online friends on another Thai social networking webbie had given me their cont
